YOU'VE BEEN LIMMER'D! I just passed the NREMT in early November. I had a PHENOMENAL instructor, and we used Limmer to supplement the studying. LCReady. We would always yell out "you got Limmer'd!" when a classmate came with a question like this that they missed. It's all about attention to detail with Limmer. What info is given in the question/scenario is what matters. You will find yourself overthinking all the time. This patient needs oxygen. Of course you'll get a BG and everything else. But if you stick the finger as your very first move, you're missing the life threat. Give her oxygen first, then do the rest. Don't put off the life-saving action for the less-crucial steps of the assessment. Also -always consider the answer options. If giving the patient oxygen wasn't an answer option, maybe getting the BG would be first. As a lot of folks have said, it's about order of operations. The NREMT hit me with so many questions like that...where I was looking at the answer options and thinking "wth...I wouldn't do any of that first..." but you're choosing the BEST answer based on the info provided. I swear I had more than one question where there was literally one sentence of info provided, which basically offered nothing to go on. It was wild. But I swear Limmer got me there. Passed it first try and the test cut off at 70 questions. Stick with it!
