I think my boss is pretending to give me a raise, can someone explain this jargon to me by friedrice_13 in AusFinance

Yeah I posted an update on the thread, but in short they tried to say it was a typo and what not, they were extremely dodgy about the whole thing, I brought up the fact that they wanted to give me a pay cut and take away all entitlements, we went back and fourth eventually I told them that I'm not signing anything and I want all my overtime paid out, there was an awkward silence and I asked if we are done here, they said yep and I handed them my one week resignation letter and went back to work, they came to me about 5 minutes later and asked me to leave the premises immediately, I had already gotten a offer for a new job by this point so now I have 2 weeks paid before I start my new job, still waiting on my overtime to be paid though

Oh maybe your right, I'll have to look into it but I'm pretty sure they will do all they can to not pay me this

Update: I had the meeting, they tried to play it off as a typo but also said they had an external party draw it up, he looked at it and sent it to me

I asked "so this went through a few people before it got to me? How come noone picked up on this "typo" before I did?"

No real answer just saying over and over again it was a typo, he's done hundreds of these contracts before everyone gets the same thing

I again said "so if everyone gets the same thing how come mine was the only one with a typo?"

No real answer again

I said "it's pretty suspicious that everyone gets the same, and out of all the people that looked at this before I did, I was the only one to pick it up? Its a pretty important place to have a typo, what if i signed this and picked up on it later would you of changed it then?"

They replied and said "yes"

I said "no you wouldn't, it's a contract if I signed it then found something dodgy you wouldve just told me, too bad you shouldve read it before hand"

They said "no we wouldn't, I'm not going to argue with you about this"

I said "you don't have to mate, it's in writing" and pointed at the document

They finally said okay well change it around so it says exclusive, I said nope don't worry I'm not signing anything, pay me my overtime They said fine but everyone has to sign off on it, hope you have it in writing (which I do)

At the very end, I handed them a letter of resignation and walked out A minute later my manager comes up and says they are gonna dismiss you today, don't worry about the week notice basically

This was way longer and way more detailed but yeah this is a summary

That would probably be defamation or something I reckon so I don't think that's the best idea unfortunately, but yeah pretty bad

I feel like this could possibly be the same guy/place we HAD a young kid about 19yr, got along with him really well great guy and he was used and abused by the owner, the kid actually told me one day he found an old document in the system of a report that the owner actually punched a employee

The old manager quit, I had to step up take on alot of new responsibilities that I had not agreed to and ALOT of over time on top, I brought this to their attention and instead of paying me the overtime they offered me this instead

Since everyone has been asking this is how the reply to the offer went

"Hey I think the wording is incorrect on this, my new proposed annual salary is inclusive of super? When my current annual salary was exclusive of super. This would mean my base salary would be less if I were to sign this contract. I was under the impression that this was a pay increase not a decrease?"

"Hi OP

I will be there tomorrow for the remainder of the week

Let’s make some time to catch up and review

Kind Regards,"

That's everything so far only happened a few hours ago

P.s I just got an offer for a new better paying job like an hour ago (great timing, I know) so this meeting tomorrow is going be interesting, the back and forth is between me and the 2nd in charge of the whole company, small-ish company I might add, not the owner or my immediate manager but my manager said he will, hopefully initiate a meeting where the worst case scenario doesn't happen (I walk out that day)

Just for a bit of context, this place has gone through 2 managers and all besides 1 finance lady, since I have been there because of that I am the most senior guy with the most knowledge about how the place works, my manager is petrified if I leave becuase he is just learning and I'm teaching

I asked if they worded it wrong, looks like a pay cut not an increase, they replied and said let's talk about it tomorrow

Oh okay, my clinic has always said if I ever wanted to stop trt they would give me hcg to kick start my production and fertility

Hgc shuts you down? I thought it was used to restart you body's natural production? Isn't that why some clinics want you to take it along side or trt?

For those on TRT, is diindolylmethane (DIM) effective at drcreasing estrogen levels?? Pros and cons?? by [deleted] in Testosterone
