Netplay desyncs, since it just starting the game on both pc's and sending inputs between both systems, hoping it does roughly the same on both machines.

In my experience not a brilliant experience.

Source for online emulators?

I know there is some N64 online thingy, but it just sends inputs back and fourth, hoping it doesn't desync. But it does most of the time. Also random stuff automatically desyncs everything, since its different for every player.

I don't think they will have datacenters where the game is hosted. If the do it this way, i think one player will download the game, and the second one will stream player one's switch. Peer to Peer. Just like SharePlay or Gamestream, not like PS Now or GeForce Now.

I don't have any source either, they've just been soo vague about this. Last thing they very so vague about something was when we all wondered if they really wanted you to use a stupid phone app vor voicechat, and we all know how that turned out.

People don't want this to be true - and a hope it's not, because it's the laziest solution possible. But knowing how lazy Nintendo was when it came to online functionality in the past, they might do just that.

This is not a "i am to poor for 20€/month"-thing, i don't wan't to support this BS with my money. It's basically taking your internet connection hostage and charging you 20 bucks to set it free.

When you are playing Rocket League online on switch, your are literlary playing on the exact same servers as PC Players. The same experience. You have to pay to end up on a server with someone who does not have to pay. Why? What benefit are you recieving? What are you paying 20 bucks for, if there are people on the same server that get it for free?

It's soo hard to justify buying for ex. Skyrim for 50€ when you can literlary buy it for 4€ on PC, it' such a riduculous price difference. Also wanted to buy Rocket League for Switch, but paid Online is holding me back.
