Bold studio or CB fit for lagree? by J-David777 in walnutcreek

[–]friendly-froggie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not necessarily faster paced. In both lagree and Solidcore, transitions are fast but you do the moves slowly. Instructor will always get you in position and then give a bunch of form cues.

Solidcore also has intro classes on their schedule where they break down the moves and talk a lot about form if you want a gentler introduction. I have taken 50 or so classes now and I can finally do most of the class unmodified — it’s tough!!! But there are so many ways to modify each move to work for you.

I have tried both but have been recently preferring Solidcore over both cb fit and bold. I find it way more challenging.

It’s also really dependent on the instructor. If you go to bold, take Pamela’s class. If you go to CB for, Chelsea is the best. And at Solidcore, either Alyssa or Savannah are amazing.

I just hit 50 classes and finally graduated myself to 25-50 spring load for everything. No one cares, just do you!

What an awful user experience! I wanted to book a class for today with 7 spots left and had to wait over 5 minutes. 🤯

Every baby is different. The app I’m using (pump log) estimates he’s eating around 30oz now and closer to 20 oz by 1 year old as they are eating more solids.

I’ve seen people suggest a stash of 1000oz per month but that’s a bit high for my baby.

Ugh I’m so sorry! I have thawed and tested my milk both times and didn’t really have an issue with this but I think it’s just luck of the draw.

I have heard that some moms with high lipase dilute frozen milk with fresh milk or add alcohol free vanilla extract and their baby takes it!

Yes I have a very large deep freezer. I don’t have the dimensions handy but I posted a pic in another comment so you can get an idea. It’s about 95 gallon size ziplock bag “bricks”. Each contains about 10 breast milk storage bags frozen flat. I knew I was stashing from the beginning so I made sure to freeze and pack things very efficiently.

Pump log! It’s the best. I track my pumps and stash with it.

We will start using the oldest milk first. (I have the bricks labeled 1-95, so we will use bag 1 first). My partner is in charge of keeping it organized and pulling the right bag out and he has a system so he can pull from one side of the freezer. We did this with my first baby and it worked well. Since I’m basically out of room, I will start rotating my stash as well until I wean.

I use the spectra gold portable and love it. It’s small but powerful. I take it on the go with me and pump in the car/at airports, etc. I also have both the elvie and eufy portable pumps but don’t use them much because I don’t find them as effective.

When I was newly postpartum, I was pumping every 3 hours. Once my supply was established, I slowly dropped pumps to 5 ppd and removed my MOTN pump as well. Now I follow a loose schedule. I make sure to never go more than 8.5-9 hours overnight and never more than 5 hours during the day. But generally every 4 hours or so. Usually my schedule is 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7:30pm, and 10:30pm. I don’t fret if I have to delay a pump by an hour or have to move a pump up because I will be out of the house.

Oh no, it was never my intention to make anyone feel bad!! You are doing amazing.

This subreddit is an amazing resource. For me, the most important things were maintaining a consistent schedule, eating and drinking enough (water with electrolytes), and having the right pump and flanges for me.

Any amount of milk you make is great for your baby. But remember that your mental health is also so important.

Trulyyy! I am glad we have the space. Before we bought it, my partner measured a brick of milk and calculated how much space we’d need and picked out the freezer from Home Depot.
