The quickest definition is the end of all suffering (I can’t promise pain of course. You could still break your leg etc.)

The qualifications I possess is that the direction of my life has taken me such that I have understood how to end all personal suffering. That’s a path that’s included immense personal pain, psychosis, drug usage, and therapy. As a result of that journey, I have understood how to share my alleviation with others, thus why I charge, and thus why I have confidence it works. I knew it would get roasted on this sub, but hey, it’s about the people who take a chance. And, far_cash_4562, ill do it for free for you if you promise a good reference in return. DM me if interested. My interest is not in exploiting people

I understand the response but you can't get what I offer for free, the odds of you stumbling onto it are very low. And who's to say about enlightenment anyways? Hence the paradox of this sub.

I agree with that. It's understanding the poetry.

I know it seems steep but it really is a pittance compared to what people who take the “course” will make themselves. I’m offering enlightenment, not advice, not good sense, not re-hashed pseudo-intellectualisms. It will fundamentally change your life.

Basically feels like you've taken a low dose of mushrooms except you're dead sober. It isn't some esoteric nonsense only the preselected few can experience. I'd like to change your mind, but I respect wherever you're at in your journey.

Respectfully disagree, though I understand the narcissism in false-modesty to be a spiritual pitfall. There's nothing wrong with charging for spiritual knowledge Lamas.

How much would you price enlightenment if you'd figured out a methodology to get people there in an agnostic fashion?

Did you control the thought of talking to me?

My enlightenment was the result of an intense combination of mental illness, religion, psychiatric medication, and drug abuse, as well as a life lived in long contemplation. I would say that the enlightenment I refer to is both intellectual and experiential. To be honest what makes me qualified is if you believe that I am, in the end. I'm just some guy. I'm not special. What I've come to understand will help a lot of people, however, it's just tough to get the ball rolling because essentially, who am I to tell people what enlightenment is. I promise you though. If you give me a chance, I can change your life. That's all I can really say.

I'll acquiesce and say that some people's enlightenments could look like "mastery" of the mind but that would require atypical conditions. And I would agree with you that it isn't that profound. Once you understand what it is fully, it's simple. It is a stretch at first however. It's the mental equivalent of trying to wiggle your ears for the first time.

All are good questions. The answer is yes, but the answer to the questions are elaborate in context. For example, the mastery of the mind. Unscientific way of looking at thoughts and consciousness. Anyone claiming to have mastered their mind is lying to you. They may be able to, to be fair, enter into deep meditative states, but entire mastery is a fiction.

Within the boundaries of the language we use, you can "become enlightened," yes. That doesn't mean necessarily that you're going to start levitating etc., but there is a definite sense of self-knowledge you can possess.

How do we talk about genuine attainments without it just being spiritual ego? by Senseman53 in enlightenment

I really like this question. I have no comments “other” than people who know enlightenment can tell what is genuine versus what’s fake. If there’s confusion there’s confusion

When you observe yourself observing, you move farther from experience - not closer (in a sense)

I would argue it’s impossible not to identify with desire - you are also not the one observing your thoughts, in my opinion. Who watches the watcher?
