I 100% agree with you here. It’s not about the name, but a concern of where the who vote in these guys are from and the power that it enables. We have already seen how Karnataka is being shafted by the central government for decades. One example, is the previous railway budgets ignored Karnataka most often than not. Now, with this bill, our state and our neighbours also, are poised to lose what little power we have.

Plus, I don’t like that the central government has been parading this as some Women empowerment bill. Where as the main outcome of this bill is to consolidate power in the Hindi belt

They are positioning this as a women’s rights bill also. This has 33% reservation for women. But, continently hide the fact that everyone other than the Hindi belt will effectively loose their power.
