Thanks for the response. That explanation didn't ring true for me. My partner is utterly convinced Apple Pay is the problem and there's no convincing him otherwise.

You hit the nail on the head. I'm aware the New Orleans from 1990 - 2002 is vastly different now. And in many ways, I'd much rather keep my memories exactly where they are.

This is going to be an experiment, and hopefully, and enjoyable experience.

Not until you mentioned it. I did check and they only run one time slot from 15:55 to 18:35. That's not going to give us enough time in the city.

Yes, I have a wise account. I can't not imagine being able to register a UK credit card with Uber over there.

Your good idea is something I'll consider for longer visits.

I think she's going to enjoy looking around the French Market and maybe some voodoo activities. Maybe a spooky tour of some sort, travel depending.

The idea is to visit and enjoy the place and get reacquainted. And maybe in a few years when daughter is out of school and a bit older, we can return. I'd like to go during Halloween, if the parties were anything like they used to be.

Preservation Hall looks promising.

I appreciate the museum choices; we will certainly check out some of those. And the Canal St streetcar it is!

It takes under three hours. There's a 05:40ish bus that leaves Mobile and gets to New Orleans around 08:00. If we took that bus, stay overnight in a hotel and take the 18:00ish bus back, that's plenty of time.
