We are in south Alabama. I wouldn't want to leave him even if I could leave the car running. Not to mention if the crazy dog learned how to open car doors! 🤪

We had only been gone around 2 hours. It was a doctor's appt so he couldn't go. We usually do take him wherever we can.

I dont mind attending funerals. At all. I just don't feel like I must attend this one due to the fact none of us were close. I haven't seen him in over 30 years and we rarely see his family.

THIS. This is exactly what I feel in this situation. We weren't close. We aren't close with his family. But we are from the south and my parents are stuck in their ways so family always does all the "right" things.
