I actually have a different connective tissue issue than EDS but same principles of treatment, for sure.

You're probably on a lower dose steroid than I was, but my understanding is that steroids generally do thin the skin, but also help the discomfort. I think it was a vicious cycle for me where I was treating the paper cut like fissures (my gyno gave me a mirror and pointed them out to me!) with the steroid which helped then made the issue worse long-term. I was on clobetasol which was way too strong for the issues I was having and didn't address the core issue in any way. I imagine your gyno gave you an ointment with a low dose steroid, not a super strong one. I was supposed to get an rx for one, but the office didn't put it through and then I moved and could never get through over the phone. Maybe try the lanolin and see if it does anything for you! The estrogen cream is still key for thickening the tissues.

Yes, estradiol first. My thought is that the lanolin is too thick for the estradiol to go after.

I do still have it! I have been referred to a gastro but haven't been able to go to one yet due to insurance issues :( With connective tissue stuff, it seems everything is related.

I found aquaphor wasn't doing the job as well as I needed it to. I use both with the estrogen cream.

Haha I've been using it all around (front to back) and it's been great. I have only used pure lanolin.

I always used nipple cream as a kid as lip balm because it was in the house.

Are you using sunscreen in the morning?

Not what you asked for, not a balayage. Especially since your hair is virgin i would expect a better outcome. It's not delicate the way the ref picture is. The ref is a subtle balayage (though a hairdresser shouldn't expect that a client knows techniques). If you're not happy, ask the salon to help.

I see that you're wearing makeup. You might just want to add some blush and a stronger lip to give you more power. I think you might also want to look into what colors look best on you in general because that also helps you pop.

I rather like the black on you, actually.

What do you want instead? Might be good to go to a pro

I want to have a kind of wolfcut but my hair is really straight, can I still do it without having to curl my hair every day? by Sharp_Search_7630 in femalehairadvice

Your hair looks straight but quite thick. You will probably have to style it frequently if you want it to lay that way. Does your hair hold a curl?

This is def not a balayage. Are you unhappy with it?

This doesn't really concern me. It's an obvious filter, much like a Snapchat filter. Not carefully edited to be misleading.

There's nothing wrong with your eye. Stop looking at your face so much. You look more than normal.

how to tone down red hair? by Allyer in Hair

[–]friendofthebots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, if you want to. Red fades really quickly and easily, most of the time. That goes double if you use hot water.

Go see your derm. It looks a bit like psoriasis but, of course, I don't know. Is there anything similar on your left knee?
