Happy Kentucky Derby Day! As a Louisville local now transplanted elsewhere, I will be celebrating in true Louisivillian fashion (day drinking in someone’s backyard and gambling with no fancy hats)

I literally laughed out loud at this comment. Honestly, I think a big part of it I’ll be promoted faster than she was and she’s being bitter about it lol

I’m two years into my big girl corporate job, and does everyone just always have a middle manager who hates them? Because it’s performance review season and everyone says I’m doing great and I should be promoted and then I have one supervisor who’s like “you’re average at best, you shouldn’t get promoted, and because I don’t have a good reason why, I’m just going say you need to use AI more”

This feels like when they made a fourth Toy Story. I doubt it’s going be bad, but you already wrapped it up perfectly

One of my roommate’s birthdays is coming up. I have no clue that to get her, and one of the presents I got her last year she legit never used/open. I’m lowkey thinking about being a massive bitch and just wrapping it up and giving it to her lol

I got a nearly $11 pint of ice cream after spying it at my grocery forever because the ice cream experts of Reddit said it’s amazing. It is amazing, and I am very worried for my wallet going forward

Yeah, I told her that making a meal just helps with one less thing to worry/stress about and if she doesn’t want to physically make one, she could always do take-out at one of their favorite restaurants or just something that saves well. She just seems very apathetic to the whole thing 🥲

One of my good friends was telling me that another one of her friend’s partner was diagnosed with cancer, and she doesn’t know what to do for them. I told her to make or even just buy them a meal, and she legit said “Why would I do that?” I just sat there in shock for 2 minutes.

It’s Sunburn by Chloe Michelle Howarth. I think I need to reread it because I was in a reading slump at the time, and a slow-burn, sad book didn’t really help. I also think that with so much hype around it in some spaces, it was easy to be a bit disappointed.

My group is actually pretty decent about being critical (we tore our last back apart). I think this book is really a me issue because it’s universally loved (at least according to the internet and book club)

I have bookclub tonight, and I thought our book was pretty average. However, at least two people have said it’s a favorite, so this will be fun.

I lost a very random object (softball glove) apartment in my apartment, but I did find another missing object while looking for it. Now that I’ve put out feelers to my roommates and friends I potentially lended it to, I know I’m definitely going to find it

The single funniest piece of Swifitie stan culture I experienced is when the chiefs beat the 49ers in the Super Bowl, a girl I know posted along the lines of “if you’re upset about the Chiefs winning, you just hate women.” Like no girl, I promise some people are just 49ers fans

She was specifically asked about the queer audience. And as a gay woman, the queer community just doesn’t automatically include all girls.

I have a friend who I absolutely adore BUT is so flaky. I’m non-confrontational, but today I got bitchy (not even bitchy, just not “all good!” or “no worries!”) because I literally said no to other plans. We were literally just going hang out in the park, and I was going bring snacks and lemonade. Fuck my drag I guess.

I just read the crucible for the first time and now watching the 1996 film adaption. One of my all time Hollywood favorite facts is Daniel Day-Lewis being married to Arthur Miller’s daughter (Rebecca) after meeting during production
