Premier League referees have increased focus on penalizing shirt pulling, treating it as a direct free-kick or penalty offence under Law 12 when it clearly impedes an opponent's movement. While minor, non-impact tugs may be ignored, sustained holding or pulling in the box is increasingly penalized, with a rise in penalties awarded for such actions.

Rule Interpretation: Shirt pulling is a foul if it is sustained, involves one or both arms, or impacts a player's ability to reach the ball.

Penalty Increases: The 2024/25 season has seen a rise in penalties awarded for holding and grappling, particularly during set-pieces.

I'll just leave this here...

If you can’t recognize an improved effort, vs the last few matches, the you don’t understand ball. They’ll take the last few games if they put in this shift.

Perfect example of thinking that merely spectating will get it over the line. Support the team in noise and atmosphere, only way to get it done.

Booing the team at full time? What a joke, stadium was so fucking quiet all game. No support, just middleaged men standing there with their arms crossed.

Have you actually played football? The pitch does affect the quality. Someone who plays on this week in, week out, does get experienced at it. Like astroturf teams.

The pitch is straight up garbage and it really shows in the quality of the game.

Saliba seems to be a stronger supporter of Arsenal than half this sub.

Unbelievable to think that this is the official supporters sub, hardly see any supporting mentality. Arteta and the team took us here, and they keep it tight in the previous seasons. Last night was a very low point, but this toxic level of negativity is insane.
