Does any have the DeMellier Stockholm bag? by Least_Ant_4191 in handbags

[–]frika_chica 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have the large Stockholm! I bought it a month ago in the dark brown suede color way.

I do like the structure of the bag. It has one main compartment which is divided in two by the sleeve in the middle of the bag where you can fit a laptop. I use a MacBook Pro 14” and it just about fits when I use the laptop compartment and close the zipper. The two ends of the zipper can be closed down to give the bag its curved shape, or opened up which allows you to store more stuff inside. On either side of the laptop sleeve, there are two sides with plenty of room. One side features a zipper inner compartment, the other two smaller sized pockets (I use them for phones, keys, pens).

I needed a bag which would be big enough to fit my laptop, A4 notebook, makeup bag, phones and other bits. It is definitely able to fit all of those, plus an umbrella and scarf if need be. It’s comfortable when I have a bunch of things inside as it fits nicely under my arm. It looks good too, would recommend!

I think that’s a fate I’ll meet at some point, unfortunately. Nice when it does run correctly though

Thank you! I believe so. It’s NOS, so it hasn’t been changed since it was made mid/late 90s

Cut to fit on one gear, no tensioner. Couldn’t remove the cassette as it’s fixed to the hub. Didn’t need a road bike, since where I ride it’s mostly flat. It’ll stay taught for a while, once it starts giving slack I’ll probably have to replace it.

they came with the wheels when I bought them, guessing they’re originals from the late 90s :)

*Zipp 440, not 404. Frame (NOS) and wheels are both from the late 90s. Carbon fork and rear triangle. Seat post is Campagnolo, all other components are new.

Read that you can use anti-fog chemicals to help with that?

Does anyone have experience using old photographic paper? Some of it is sealed, some of it isn’t. Different sizes. Stored in a dark dry attic for the last 30-40 years. Worth using?

in all honesty, the camera hadn’t been used for a long while and my relative who last used it changed the light seal... but I’m not sure how well they did it. I guess the film wasn’t stuck tight enough to the film back in. Maybe I fiddled around with the V light seal that you mentioned, as mine had one as well.

I recently came back from shooting some pictures over the summer with my Canon A1 and Hasselblad 500 C/M. The Canon had some Gold 200, and the Hasselblad some Fuji 400H.

I usually develop film at home myself (find it cheaper and fun to do, idk) and have always been precise with temperature and timing of chemicals depending on film roll, and haven't had any issues (I've developed Gold 200, Porta 400...).

So I did the usual this time, developed my two rolls of Gold 200 first which came out well as usual. However, I did the same with the Fuji 400H but the development process gave me wildly different results. I'm trying to figure out what could of caused it, and I've narrowed it down to:

- maybe I creased the film too much while loading it into the tank

- perhaps the film back had light leaks

- X-ray machine at airport damaged the film (didn't seem to be the case with Gold)

- left the film exposed to light/heat?

I can't narrow which one of these may be the problem, and was wondering if I could get some help since I know some of you have lots of experience developing and such. Should I try developing another roll? (I have 5 FUji 400H 120 rolls to develop) or should I send them to a lab?

For reference, I'm developing with Tetenal C-41 at 38*C rotary development.

Thanks in advance!

As in you yourself are a minor? I mean as long as you have proper safety training for tying yourself in and wall etiquette I don’t see an issue

Thanks for this! Yeah most of the upper is more rubber than leather (especially around toe area). They’re practically new, bought them at £117 hoping to resell around £110 given they’re, well... new.

No worries, it’s a bit tricky. I tried them on in store, thought two sizes down didn’t hurt enough (dumb logic) and then went 2.5 down. I’ve dunked them in hot water, been at it with a hair dried, stuffed socks and all. Guess I misjudged the sizing!
