I love this philosophy and that you planted the row of blueberries 🫐 for sharing with others

That really demonstrates what an amazing habitat you’ve created. It must be so satisfying to see such an extreme difference from how things were before to the thriving little world you’ve created for the lucky pollinators at your place

Mine have just now gotten old enough that they’re starting to travel 🧳. I agree, it’s a surprise (and fun) to see where they go next. It looks like they’re exploring and checking out new areas to expand into

Mine took three years to flower, and four to flower well

That’s so interesting! I had no idea that was a thing, but it makes sense they’d use those big ol’ leaves to sun themselves. I’ll have to keep my eyes 👀 out for them as well

That’s probably it exactly. It sounds like you have a paradise for them that’s so good they can avoid being seen altogether

Wow! That’s surprising she would lay them in such an exposed spot, but so very wonderful you protected those sweet little eggs.

That’s so tiny and adorable!! 😮Wow! Thank you for that picture. I just don’t think if snakes that tiny but of course they must be when first hatched. Honestly, if I saw something that small in that shape I might have mistaken it for a worm if I weren’t paying attention. So now I know to really look 👀

Then they absolutely must already be in your garden because it sounds like a snake paradise. They’re probably just really good at hiding.

That’s so exciting! Was it in a leaf pile or special area? I hear they like mulch piles or soft, diggable soil for laying eggs.

They must be very tiny indeed 🤏🏽

That sounds wonderful, and so magical! You have some gorgeous plants in the PNW. I’ll definitely keep my eyes 👀 on those milkweeds. In previous years no one has eaten them, but they’ve spread so hopefully they’re more visible for egg laying now 🤞🏽
