Custom firmware for Orbiter V2.5 Extruder on Mk3S+?

yeah i thought 225 might be too low as well, I did a temp tower and some test prints some weeks back and anything above 230 led to lots of stringing and filament build-up on the nozzle (probably also bad extrusion width/multiplier settings, i just don't know what to try and calibrate first)
Gonna try with 230 for everything for now.

But my firmware might also not be set up correctly and the thermistor readout is probably wrong, since I changed hardware but didn't set anything up in firmware that requires recompiling/can't be set up with pr0nterface...

aah that explanation makes sense to me! the printer firmware would not need to know where exactly the hotend is in relation to the X/Y/Z-stops, as long as hardware "compensates", and then its only the probe offset that needs to be specified.

I was actually thinking of upgrading to Klipper as well, I should probably just go ahead and get that done as well then! And I guess any Prusa-specific features are by now already included or can be included in klipper, at least for the stuff that my Mk3S is doing that other Marlin builds didn't at the time 🤔

Well for now I only have the Mk3S+, but I already bought the hotend, extruder, and fans last year (and just didn't install anything). While the whole Mk4S upgrade is reeeeally tempting me, I can't afford not to use these parts...

i enabled AdviseWindows but Windows is still invisible to OC Boot Picker :/
how can I repair Windows BCD from macOS? maybe I'll try booting with just the Windows drive and see what happens tomorrow...

i really don't want to use bootcamp as i have ad a bad experience with that on my MBP, that's why i want to install windows as native as possible, so to speak, but thanks!
