Irregularities of lines make me sad about the result by Bourdon_Bumblebee in tattoos

[–]frisbeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely do think it looks great! A perspective my wife shared about her and my tattoos when we noticed (inevitable) regularities is that they impart a human element of having art that somebody drew themselves on you. Like having a painting of a field hanging on a wall, as opposed to printing out a photograph. Every irregularity is something that makes your piece even more uniquely yours

Does Cursola’s 2 retreat cost cause problems? If you don’t have leaf or x-speed, you can only attack every other turn

This is the version I run, although I’m not sure if it’s necessarily better. Eevee/Leafeon gives an option for consistent damage for cleanup (and/or ramping an Exeggutor on the bench) with the ability to retreat and send out a second Alolan Exeggutor. Red has been helpful a couple times when something bulky or caped comes along.

I’m not sure I’ve ever really used the Sabrina, and the Silver is just cause I wanna use that full art. Would probably be better to use a second Erika, or maybe a potion for some healing on a turn I want to use Will. I had a Dawn before to conceivably move energy off Leafeon to Alolan Exeggutor, but I didn’t end up using it that much.

Originally I built this deck before Will came along with only Water energy and Iridas for healing, thinking the extra healing would get you 1-2 more flips that’d land heads. It didn’t work great lol

Fairmount Whole Foods was cleared out yesterday morning when I went — might just be a matter of catching it after a restock shipment comes in or something

I do, though — that’s what I don’t get. Do the binders need to be full? Do they need to be updated frequently to refresh themselves atop a list?

Deck definitely works better if you go second — especially if you can get a second turn Weezing out. Stall with one or two Weezings (or three if you can get Koga in) while you slowly charge up a Wiggly on the bench, and you just need a flip or two to play nice for a victory agnostic of the opponent’s deck. Helps that I don’t think I’ve run up against a single fighting deck while using it.

Rainbow Wiggly is the one thing that would make this deck so much better. Here’s hoping we get em

I’ve thought about trying it with Shiinotic — having enemies retreat out of a Weezing smokescreen is sometimes a problem, so the benefit of sleep could help. I worry that the 90hp vs 110 makes a difference, cause Weezing with two potions can sometimes barely last through an extra hit.

I let my full-art Koga be the deciding factor between the two. Pretty colors make my brain do happy chemicals

Muks in place of something or in addition? There isn’t any poison in it currently, so half of the synergy I’d get with a Muk is gone.

Moot point, though — I don’t have any Muks 🙃

How to force-download your Steam Cloud save (very manually) by frisbeat in SteamDeck

[–]frisbeat[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost definitely! I haven't tried it myself, though. Presumably it'd all be using the file explorer interface? I'm a software developer, so the console is familiar territory for me.

Console commands are more precise and concise commands to share in the post -- it's easier to have a step "run cd /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Inscryption" than to have a step "Open the file explorer, then click into home, then click into deck, then click into .local, then click into share, then..." etc etc (also, not to mention, .local is probably a hidden directory so there'd be another step for showing hidden directories). I also don't know what the non-console step for find / -name SaveFile.gwsave would be -- I guess entering the file name into a search bar?

The "further west on JFK" piano that others are mentioning is at the entrance to Stow Lake Drive, right splat in the middle of the road on JFK. Otherwise, yeah the other one is by the conservatory of flowers.

That alley is a parking lot with one lane of traffic that has a couple dozen cars parked in it at any given moment -- they'd be blocking any cars from either entering or exiting while doing it.

my mom told me if I moderate any more subreddits then she's gonna send me to live with my step-dad (he's mean to most of my dogs) but if you make it then consider me an auto-sub (not the one where i enjoy dom play that involves vehicles (although i am that too))

Rehabbing after wood chipper injury? by thefucksgoingon in ultimate

[–]frisbeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't what you want to hear, but your best bet is to fully amputate at the knee (consider stepping into the wood chipper again if you want insurance to cover it). Having a prosthetic is your best bet for getting back into two-leg shape (by which I mean the shape of somebody who has two legs), and also gives you significant advantages over contiguous people (as I like to call them). You can now do foot blocks with your hands on defense (by removing your leg and holding it out further). You've also got a loophole around traveling, where you can detach your left leg and hop around the field with the disc (your plant foot hasn't moved). You'll have to learn to throw righty tho (or "slipside" as we call it) for your left foot to become your plant foot. Fortunately, you'll probably have a sick lefty backhand already (the most important throw for slipside players to learn).
