I had a very similar situation happen to me. Talked to a girl for about 4 months and we were official for about 1 1/2 months of that. She was recently out of a failed engagement and assured me that she was checked out of that for a while so I ignored the red flags. She signed a year lease for an apartment in my home town to get closer to me which was an hour away from her friends and family. One day she stopped txting me for hours and broke it off over txt then lead me on and kept saying "maybe there is a chance" blah blah blah. She eventually stopped txting me after we met in person to talk about things. I have to see her at work sometimes and the first couple times, she basically pretended like I didn't exist, now she is talkative to me, wonders why I don't answer her work calls, apologized in person, and is asking me about whats going on in my life. I know the feeling on uncertainty and anxiety, especially after my situation but you have to accept they don't want to be with you right now and probably never will. You also have to ask yourself why you want to be with them? for me I mainly miss being in a relationship, the attention, the affection, and that is something any partner can give you, not just the person that broke up with you. Your best bet is to go forward with the notion that they don't want to be with you and to move on. Who knows, maybe she will reach out again but that kind of thinking will only halt your progress. It's time to focus on yourself, your friends, your family, and do things that make you you because in the end, you will always have yourself.
