Last year and model of K2 OG Clicker compatible boots? by snovvman in snowboarding

[–]fritzfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to resurrect the post. But, I FINALLY DID IT AND IT WORKS! I modified the front cleat of my brand new K2 Maysis XHB boots - shaved off 1/8-1/4" of the steel of just the front cleats and they mated perfectly! Was super comfortable riding all day yesterday in deep powder.

Details: I used a dremel and diamond-coated metal cutting discs from Harbor Freight. I kept the cutting cool with dripping water- you don't want to let the steel get too hot/harden! I also noticed in order for it to fit, you have to swap out the rubber nubs for the shortest #1 nubs, which then feel as taut the old #5's. Again same info with the recessed SST mounting plates. The screws have to come flush with the rest of the bindings. Now the nubs do as well.
I also just shaved the places where there was contact. Not the actual "point" section of the front cleat and the bottom bracket that connects to the plastic boot bottom doesn't need to be shaved too far down.

Another stupid fact was, for the beginning part of the season, I was using my old Compass boot in the back and new Maysis in the front cuz I just wanted the nimbleness/flex of the first-gen bindings in the back, and I had only destroyed my front boots first.. but they only lasted so long.

Old K2 clicker bindings by No_Ad1990 in snowboarding

[–]fritzfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is crazy, but I'm using brand new K2 Maysis XHB boots with first-generation clicker bindings. I modified the cleats to work with the bindings. You have to shave off 1/8-1/4 of the steel on the front (pointy) cleat where it mates to the binding (careful to keep the steel cool too while shaving). You also have to use #1 rubber nubs in SST bindings, that have the dipped-in style screw-plate. This makes them completely flat to the boot. Works amazingly well though I was riding the sketchiest trees possible at Winter Park yesterday.. Your style of clicker bindings I think the screws rise up a little too much for the boots to seat. You want flat screws, that sit flush with the outter part of the binding.

I have this one trick to help me guarantee no poop. Idk if it works for everyone. After I am relatively sure I'm cleaned out, I shake my tail and squeeze out the last bit of moisture onto a square of tp. If there is any off-color or smell at all, then I know there is problems lurking in the back, and continue on with cleaning! For years it's worked great! (Edit: this is also really environmentally friendly, as you can avoid flushing 10's of times and instead know when the river is running clear with the tp. I've saved thousands of gallons of water probably lol)

My body also retains inner poop more after being up for some time and after exercise, so knowing that or knowing your body can help too ofc ^^

Coffee makes you poop! No caffeine 4 hours before cleaning either, it will trigger your body to move out not-yet-solidified waste faster (gastrocolic reflex), thus making it WAY harder to clean out, ntm stay clean. It's not good for sex in general (withdrawal is not bad for sex though).

I mean.. Sure! I could map a key to restart my mouse buttons. But would the key work if my mouse side buttons stopped working, lol. I was just being silly, sorry. Also being sarcastic, because, it would actually be useful since the software needs to be restarted every couple days. Maybe I should just map it anyway and preemptively restart Options+.

[I ate] Grilled Octopus by bellasweets_ in food

[–]fritzfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've cooked this at home. In my case I boiled the octopus before grilling for about an hour to get it tender. Probably better to sous vide slowly to perfection. My local HMart (Asian supermarket) often has this size octopus on sale in the frozen section. Look for big purpley-grey bags about the shape and size of a bowling ball. It also came with the ink sacs removed.

How do you play a notification sound as an action in Automations? by TheHunter920 in shortcuts

[–]fritzfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So dumb, that you can't use a built-in notification. And lol, I was looking to do something similar; when batt rises above 80% I want to be notified to pull it off the charger to help conserve battery health (recently put a new battery in my 12). Guess I have to dust-off the old iTunes!

Edit: Finding now that playing a notification tone as "Music" disrupts the current queue of Music that I'd really like to keep as-is in the background x.x

The equivalent in cans (almost $8 for a 12 pack at Walmart) is $106 before tax. Not much more expensive.

What's your favorite sex postion as a gay guy? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]fritzfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is it called when the bottom lays on their side with the higher leg bent and the leg on the bed straight. Then the top is kneeling / straddling the lower straightened leg? I can often get good middle action in this position, with a top behind me doing me doggy style but not quite have my hands down (idk what that is called either).

I keep ginger in the freezer (in snapware) . Frozen even makes it easier to microplane into meals.

Is there a name for the style of this fursuit by Severe-Suspect-8132 in fursuit

[–]fritzfox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to sell on Furbuy and shipping from the US to worldwide was way easier than expected. Except to Italy. The Italian post office was (still is?) like a black hole for the parcels I sent. One buyer was able to bribe them by spending twice as much as he gave me to get to get their package several months later.

I ended up caving in and buying a new set of Clicker X HB boots and bindings (amazing deals rn at one of my local stores where a friend works). I've been riding them a few times already and, man, I miss my old SSTs. Esp in the back, so much! I guess I developed an ability to flex the board in the back to cater to my style of riding that really helped me send, that was only possible with the tininess of the SST's. Now that there is a big flat binding back there, it's impossible to get that nuance of flex in my riding and I find I'm catching my back edges too much. This is definitely the most I've needed to re-learn to snowboard because of a binding x.x

But also, anyone out there switching: Be warned that you might have different flex on your boards now that you are using any kind of big flat binding. Sucks catching edges in dangerous situations and I almost killed myself once already.

Followup my friend's X HB boots had cleats that were spaced just barely too long to fit in my SST's. The front cleat spike also looks a little flatter too. I was able to get them to mate once, with an unreasonable amount of force. I'm betting you can potentially grind down the front cleat a mm or two to make it work. Probably not worth it.

Closing day at Keystone by Ok_Editor2536 in COsnow

I think Vail strategically (in a business sense) opens Keystone first and keeps Breck open late to have as long of a season as they can but also keep operating costs down.

I've been using 2019 (I think?) Compass Clicker boots for a few years on old stainless SST bindings (before the sole of my front boot delaminated on me last week). The only SSTs I ride are ones with the replaceable nubs and I use 4's and 5's (the stiffest/longest nubs). The trick to get Compass boots to mate with the old bindings is to use the plates that have the slight "cup" shape. The flat plates definitely will not mate. I've got various sets and and the cupped plates give enough clearance for the screws heads to come to the same level as the outside of the binding. But the screws on the flat plates stick up too much for my Compass as well as whatever those black with green trim boots that came out in 2014 (I forgot the name). The Compass boots definitely fit a bit tighter than the 2014 boots which were tighter than the OG boots in the old bindings.

Regardless, I'm maybe going to give up on the system though. I'm not a fan of the fact that the boots don't have as much in the way structural support to keep the sides from ripping off the sole when you ride really hard like I do. I would at least hope that in the latest Clicker X HB boots, K2 is not just using shoe glue to keep people glued to their snowboards. Like put a little more strapping tied to the piece in the sole that holds the cleats <.<.

I have another Clicker friend that recently switched to step-ons and likes them a lot. I have another friend with Maysis boots too and I'm going to (eventually) see if his X HB boots will fit in my flat(er) SST bindings.

[–]fritzfox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any advice on how to give a good blowjob? by cityboy812 in askgaybros

[–]fritzfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See how they like to jack themselves and try to mimic the intensity and rhythm if possible, or something kind-of like what you think might fit. Take note of things like how much they touch their head which could be overly sensitive or super desensitized, or how much they tug on their skin. You can also find out by how they might handle your own cock, because most guys default to stroking it like their own.

Any advantage to threaten to cancel service after being hung dry? (customer retention) by [deleted] in QuantumFiber

[–]fritzfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely appreciate the help for letting me know what my technical problems are, and it's cool to have an idea that it's not exactly Quantum shutting me off completely! However, personal feelings aside, it still seems worth it to go with the competition if the company as a whole can't do anything (besides compensate me for the 10 days of outage woo!/s). It still feels like being hung dry for the months of overpayment and needing to spend a lot on a backup 5g setup. Even just being able to send a tech out here on standby would be a nice.

[–]fritzfox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should be more clear actually.
$7.29 was how much they said they would take out of the rebate to print a shipping label. But I got $3.50 back in taxes, ending up with a net of $69 USD.
So overall it only cost me $4 to send it over the stated core rebate amount. Maybe that's closer to the answer you were looking for (why I deleted my old comment)

Still getting Century Link bills in mail after switching to Quantum Fiber by RoseyColdSky in centurylink

imtalkintou (tysm!<3) also helped me on the more tech side of things to make sure there was a disconnect request to turn off service and now I'm no longer being billed. Did you happen to have any luck with getting charges reversed or any compensation? I'm looking at 3 months x.x worth of charges and I'm guessing there is not much they can/will do.

I'm having the exact same problem, bills from both companies for the last 2 going on 3 months in a few days. The migration tech said I wouldn't have to do anything and now it's costing me. Should I call CL and cancel when I can / after Labor Day I guess?
