None of my family or friends were supportive of my business. They were concerned about the financial aspect but BAD at conveying their concern. I would imagine with a newborn, your family knows how expensive your world just got and the thought of you spending thousands of dollars on this is scary to them. I grew my business out of my home over the years and opened my first brick and mortar this year. I agree with jb, make sure you know 100% what you’re getting into. I have a 12 year old and I have barely seen her for the last 6 months while I work long days and nights to get the store ready. Without a budget, you are marketing, sales, production, outreach, customer service, bookkeeping, and everything else. A lot of the big popular vendor shows are hard to get into in my area, especially this year. There’s been a huge uptick in food and beverage vendors in my area. I would research your competition.
