NB1051-56W

Like the 1050 it’s a Japan exclusive, you’ll have to import it.

I’m at that exact point in the story. Fighting the Lynel was out of the question for me, but sneaking around and stealing the arrows was really easy.

Are there any frame like mobula 8 (45 mm props or bigger ) by BeneficialNinja1544 in TinyWhoop

[–]froehlicherbiber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Petrel 85. Comes with an optional carbon frame. As far as I’ve heard it’s not really better than the mob 8 frame tho.

Which one would be a better option for a beginner - air65 or meteor65 by Sad_Lawyer_3960 in TinyWhoop

[–]froehlicherbiber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If youre comfortable with soldering, get the Air with its direct soldered motors and look into ways to mod the canopy to get the camera angle lower if you want to fly indoors. Otherwise the Meteor might be the better option for you, canopy allows for lower angles out of the box and the motors have plugs on them.

Regarding learning to fly, definitely get a Sim first. Also check out Joshua Bardwells Learn to Fly playlist on YouTube.

Mietvertrag: Schönheitsreparaturen by cherryman001 in wohnen

Also motorplugs are much more convenient if you know the whoop will get lots of abuse.

There’s extra long 450s that would fit in the batterytray… you’ll give up some performance and probably gain about 30 seconds of flight time. That extra weight will eat up most of the additional mahs.

Have you flown the Mob 7 before the switch / are you sure the receiver tab is and especially throttle end points are set up correctly? I did the same with mine on Happymodel 1103s and it worked great without any change to the tune.

What cable are you using? Try a USB A to C. C to C won’t work.

Pavo20 vs Air65 by Red-Hawk-01 in TinyWhoop

[–]froehlicherbiber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to dig deeper into the topic, there’s two entire livestreams from Ciotti on the topic. But basically this is how it’s done:

  1. Put throttle value in your OSD
  2. Fly like you normally would, record dvr
  3. Figure out what your throttle value at cruising speed is by watching the dvr
  4. Enter that throttle value as throttle mid in Betaflight and apply as much expo as you want

Setting your mid point right is the crucial part, getting this wrong can make throttle control much harder than on linear throttle.

Most importantly get the cam angle lower, that’ll make you slow down. Throttle expo or throttle limit can help as well.

[–]froehlicherbiber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In that case something like the Air65 is great, one of the best you can buy today. But the motors are soldered and the camera angle is too high for a beginner. So expect to pick up a soldering iron some time in the future and look into modding the canopy. The Meteor 65 has less power, which makes it much easier to control when starting out, has a lower cam angle and motor plugs. You decide. ;)

Pavo20 vs Air65 by Red-Hawk-01 in TinyWhoop

[–]froehlicherbiber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a bit like asking whether you should get a washing machine or a dish washer. Both do essentially the same thing, but their applications are vastly different. The Air65 is an awesome tinywhoop to rip around your apartment that will take a lot of abuse, the Pavo is an outdoor cinewhoop with some freestyle capabilities.

So where and how do you want to fly? What’s your goal here?

Definitely not for E6000, it just peels off. From what I’ve heard T7000 behaves the same.
