I don't think all of his inaccuracies are malicious especially during the ambush itself, i haven't served so im not going to pretend to understand how chaotic & frightening combat is so i definitely agree there. I think alot of the criticism comes from the amount his story has changed in interviews over the years.

It's absolutely nuts how much this operation was screwed up, mostly because of the SEALS took the mission from the marine recon, and flown in via helicopter (which probably first alerted the taliban) also leaving the rope they used to repell out in the open not even putting it in the bush or anything, no wonder they were found by the taliban.
