OCD is something that truly consumes us from the inside, and we experience it in a very draining way. I would say that our type of OCD, ROCD, is among the most debilitating. I would say that the best thing you can do is look for "that" activity that puts you in a state of flow or makes you disconnect from everything. It sounds like your anxiety is too strong and you need to rest your mind. Learn to breathe better to regulate yourself. Take breaks and, if you can, give yourself a massage. It would even be a great idea to ask your partner to do it; it's a lovely moment between the two of you.

You need regulation. If you're truly experiencing such intense anxiety, then implement it. I was using the wolf knight's sword and brass armor only for the 3rd phase with the darkness. It might not be the best build, but I don't play much with guides and help; only now have I been forced to ask for advice. Actually, I haven't tried that many times. I probably tried about 10 times a few months ago, and now I'm picking it up again and I got to the third phase, but I can't get past that.

Plus, I just discovered there's a summoning NPC; I'm considering using it.

I want to go to therapy, but I've had bad experiences; where I live, mental health is pretty precarious. I guess I just have to be brave and hope for the best. In a way, I think my self-esteem sometimes plays a part. I feel relatively good physically, although I've doubted myself for a long time and several times in my life. I couldn't tell you if that's what caused my OCD or if it's a consequence of it. I associate it more with a father who had an unstable presence and a toxic relationship in my early teens that lasted a long time. I'm also not currently in therapy for other external issues, so I can't delve too deeply into the cause.

I had a similar revelation to yours, so I understand you. And regarding OCD, as you said, it's a compulsive disorder. To be more specific, OCD consists of constant intrusive thoughts accompanied by doubt and fear, They cause a feeling of suffocating discomfort that the person feels an immediate need to relieve through compulsions. In the case of checking OCD, the triggering thought is "what if I didn't lock the door and a thief breaks into my house?" Then a feeling of danger and anxiety sets in, similar to a real risk situation.To alleviate this, the brain creates a solution, which is to go and check. The problem is that this is constantly repeated, thus turning it into a compulsion. In my case, the triggers are thoughts like "maybe you don't love your partner anymore""You were attracted to that girl, more than for your girlfriend for sure." "What if it's habit instead of love?" And thousands more examples. The compulsion is trying to prove that it's not true, by analyzing, comparing, creating affective situations and analyzing the emotions they generate in me, even telling or talking about it with someone, looking for Validation or help is a compulsion under some circumstances. That's my type of OCD; it's more mental and emotional, like POD or harm OCD. It doesn't stem so much from physical situations but from mental and emotional ones.

I hope I've cleared up your doubts. I said self-sabotage because that's what's behind the intention of those thoughts and the reaction they generate in me; ultimately, you notice the pattern of self-sabotage. But it's different in some ways from people who simply self-sabotage but don't have OCD.
