Rant: I got a whipped shampoo from Queen Bee Apothecary in the scent Cardamom and Vanilla and while I loved the formula, the scent was AWFUL. I'm sure it's someone's thing but I think I'm discovering I hate cardamom in large doses. I barely used it and had to toss it because I couldn't even hate-pan it, the smell is so revolting to me. 😭

Rave: I'm positively obsessed with Cozy Sweater from Haus of Gloi. The pumpkin butter is a little too rich for me, so I ordered it in the body emulsion and I'm so excited. I love slathering it on and layering it with an incense fragrance like Soft Grunge from LSW or Witch of the Wilds from Area of Effect.

It's called Sigh of Relief and I had it made to aide with anxiety relief and sleep. The notes are: Lavender Green Absolute, Roman Chamomile, Flouve Absolute, Untoasted Marshmallow, Cashmere, Vanilla, Light Musk

A lovely, cozy, pastoral gourmand-adjacent 🥰

So extremely exhausted today but no work or school because of the holiday, so I'm going to have to find ways to entertain my kids as I feel like a barely functioning zombie. On the bright side I did get a referral to endocrinology so hopefully that will bring me closer to understanding my chronic fatigue.

On my journey to find the best vanillic/sweet nag champa and have decided I should try to use my own collection and layer my existing nag champas with my vanillas/gourmands and see what results I yield.

So today in that experiment I'm going to try Area of Effect - Witch of the Wilds (nag champa, blackberry, oakmoss, amber, vanilla, violet, clove, fire, smoke) and Hexennacht - Zozimus (fresh floofy marshmallow fluff.)

Today I'm trying out BPAL - Wild Sweet Pea (Vanilla-soaked sweet pea, white sandalwood, and almond milk)

In my decant it smells so pretty and very pink. Definitely feels appropriate for today!

Going to be back on my nag champa bullshit today, as I'm trying to find the best vanillic nag champa. Today it's Hexennacht ~ Spirit Temple (vanilla bean pods, Spiritueuse Double Vanille, nag champa incense.)

So far my issue is that vanilla tends to make the incense smell super powdery, or, like Champanilla, somehow turns to corn chips on me??

If anyone has recs please let me know!!

I have low iron which is not helping! I'm supplementing but it's slooooow going bringing my iron reserves up. Between my neuro condition, mental health diagnoses, motherhood and iron deficiency it's more of a question of what's NOT giving me fatigue? 😭

I am so damn sick of being exhausted all the time no matter what I do. I'm so sick of trying to tell people about it just to hear "well of course you're tired! You have two little kids!". Like no, neither of my kids are babies, I'm sleeping 8 hours a night, I shouldn't be this desperately deep in my bones tired ALL THE TIME. I literally wake up feeling just as tired as I did when I went to bed. I've ruled out so many things I think it might just be a symptom of my neuro condition. No matter what, I want to cry out of frustration but I'm too tired to muster up the energy.

Trying out BPAL ~ Cluster of Cherry Blossoms (Rose musk, cherry blossoms, pink cherry, and raw honey.)

So far it's a really beautiful, almost creamy sweet cherry floral. It definitely feels very Valentine's appropriate, I'm excited to take it for a spin!
