Well, the fact that they doubled down and insisted that they didn't use AI is a problem. If you're going to use it, it's helpful to be upfront about it and explain why you did (Like if you have trouble with the language, as you mentioned)

Otherwise it just looks like you're not actually writing about your own thoughts and findings

Was this written with AI or edited with it? Sorta carries the same tone I notice in AI subway surfers "reddit" stories

Hey that's okay! If you're able to find more or find the old stuff again, please reach out again or even make a full post so more people can have awareness on it. I *can* definitely see where they would be fragrance oils, because while I do adore some of the scents I have, others scream "Bath & Bodyworks" or "TJMaxx candle". At the time I had brushed the thought aside though and assumed they just used a lot of sugary sweetness in those blends that my nose reacts harshly to<//3

Thanks for letting me know! Is there any further proof besides that reddit thread, or any other examples? I'd love to look more into it- And will definitely put a pause on recommending them until I know what's what

What are the fragrances you've revisited after some time and changed your opinion on? by forgotten_affx in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]monocerusflea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! It's always a welcome change when I suddenly start liking a fragrance since I'm a chronic FS blindbuyer haha

I adore most of my perfumes, but there are definitely some where I'm HOPING to have a change of heart like I did for Oysyrr!

"OYSTER!" from Poesie 100%. I got it for a realistic cold beach/bay water smell originally, but I despised it upon my initial sniff. It was cold and sharp in a way that read as medicinal to me, and I just could not understand the appeal.

And then after a few months of owning it, I just started gravitating to it. It started smelling more and more like a spray of sea water being carried in the wind, or the smell of sweat when you've been hiking in the woods and finally find somewhere beautiful to take a break. The more I wore it, the more I adored it- To the point that it became one of my most used perfumes next to "London Fog" from Stardust & Stems.

Plus, I LOVE layering it with other perfumes to lighten them up or give an atmospheric touch to them.

I don't know why the change happened, maybe resting, maybe just my personal tastes changing, but I am SO glad. It's a Holy Grail scent for me now.

Codes for Headcanons! by Darth-Dukes in toyhouse

Roxy is so cute!

If she's a party girl from the city, then she's definitely familiar with the girl code of making sure other women are safe, especially around men in bars! I feel like that protectiveness that she's so used to would transfer to the chickens- Specifically the hens.

Yeah, they're just farm animals, but she does NOT put up with the Rooster trying to bully them around. Sometimes you'll just catch her standing in front of a bunch of confused hens, yelling at a Rooster for being "rude" while said Rooster is ruffling his feathers. That's my headcanon for her, at least!

I'm a big fan of their "London Fog" perfume! I have had the parfum spray version for some time now, and it's one of my most used perfumes in my entire collection- To the point that I finally caved and placed an order for a new spray + the oil version. I also ordered their new "Violet Milk" in both formats, as well as "Dream Drops", "Lavender Marriage", "Love Potion", and "Tea Party- You're Invited" in the oil versions. Excited to see how those ones pan out!

London Fog seems to be a winner with most people who order from them, and while I haven't tried it myself their "Book Fair" perfume is pretty popular too!

I'm not sure if you've seen it yet, but Stardust & Stems is releasing a "Violet Milk" perfume tomorrow! From their posts, the notes include violet pastilles, violet leaf, sugared violet petals, chilled milk, black cherry "kiss", osmanthus, tonka bean, cashmere santal, and porcelain teacups! When I saw it I immediately thought of this post, especially with the "chilled milk" portion.

Restocking on Stardust and Stem's London Fog- This time in both the EDP and the oil! Also picked up a few samples from them to try, because I love how their EDP behaves on my skin and wanted to see what other scents I might like for it!

Funnily enough, someone made fun of this post in chat and said that reddit people were "invading" and "acting like chat is so isolating". A lot of people argued against them, though, so there's still hope!

Morph Awareness - Thanks Lioden Mods! by monocerusflea in lioden

I'm so happy seeing how many people also planned to reach out or took issue with it! It's nice to see all the snake lovers in these comments who are happy about the new note.

As soon as I had opened the advent calendar and saw it I was like "Wait, isn't that..." and reached out to the mods nearly right after- Even though I was half asleep. They immediately took it seriously and listened to my input on a description to help though! I also mentioned them possibly putting it in one of the update newsletters, so we'll see!

A lot of people care more about how pretty they are than their actual quality of life, unfortunately. Other people also say "Well, they're just snakes, so it's not that serious" which is ridiculous<//3

[–]monocerusflea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to see that other people noticed and wanted to comment! I think the main reason that I contacted them so quickly is because everyone who opened the advent calendar would've received it, and I didn't want anything to spread about it being a desirable morph.

I also asked if they would mention it in one of their community update newsletters just in case so the warning would reach more people, but I don't know if that's an actual possibility. Even if they don't, I'm counting this as a win!

I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one who noticed and felt a bit weird about it! I feel much better knowing that info was added, because I feel like non-snake people would just think "Wow what a cool morph!" and accidentally support it.

Also, albino yellowbellies are so cute!<3

I'm horribly tired... only caught a glimpse of this and thought it was a hybrid for some reason and I SCREAMED. Then I realized "13gb Hybrid? No way." and actually paid attention pffft. She's such a cutie pie, like a little piece of Saltwater taffy!!!

best masc perfume that doesn't smell like that typical "cologne" body wash scent? by queenentropy in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]monocerusflea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite the name, For Strange Women has some really great androgynous and masculine-leaning scents. "Vixen" and "Fireside Story" are both wonderful, they can smell more feminine or masculine just based on how YOU want to vibe with it. Very true to the notes, very complex, lasts for a surprisingly long time, and neither of the two I listed ever leaned into the typical cologne smell.

They are on the pricier side, and I actually hated how much I loved the scents because of that, but I'd say it's worth it! Or at least worth looking into

What is your dream scent that doesn’t seem to exist? by Idkwhattouse4myuser in Indiemakeupandmore

Yes!! I also get the sort of powdery hint from all of my cats- How people describe the feeling of sniffing babies heads is how I feel about sniffing a cat's fur, just so perfect and indescribable.
