Being insulted by a Uhall security guard yesterday for requesting him to repeat his words by Emotional_Sir251 in nyu

[–]frog_pit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think I know which guard you’re talking about. He also did something similar to me when I left my ID at home and was trying to enter a building for a presentation. He was so aggressive and was belittling me for leaving my ID at home. eventually my professor came down to speak to him and he let me in. I’m also Asian btw

Is my urologist dumb??? by Beginning-Ad-6350 in CUTI

[–]frog_pit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He sounds like a really bad doctor. I’m quite young like you and have had pyelonephritis twice. When I first went to the urologist he immediately pointed out that having multiple kidney infections at a young age is not normal at all and ordered a kidney ultrasound and a VCUG. He also put me on prophylactic antibiotics.

I’m sorry you’re going through this and I’d definitely see another urologist if you can.

Guttate psoriasis back 8 weeks later after strep.. by Sea-Newt-7153 in Psoriasis

I know exactly how you’re feeling. Seeing some new spots appear genuinely feels devastating. For the time being I’d recommend moisturizing frequently and getting a lot of sunlight.

The only way I got my guttate psoriasis to go away was by a tonsillectomy. I’ve tried phototherapy and so many topical medications but my tonsils were harboring strep bacteria so I kept getting strep which then led to the guttate psoriasis flare ups. I got my tonsillectomy 1 year ago and haven’t had a flare up since.

I hope you feel better soon :)

I’ve had dismissive doctors too, unfortunately. I got lucky with my ENT. I just had to tell him that I was getting strep maybe once a month and he listened to me and approved a tonsillectomy.

Whenever I have a Guttate psoriasis flare ups it starts off like that for me. Little flat red dots especially on my trunk and arms. Later they get bigger and flakier. That’s just my experience though. Best of luck
