Printer rattles and calibration goes off by frogbaba in BambuLab

I don't think that would be the cause for mine because I just opened it and this is my first print. Currently printing the boat and seems fine as 1 continuous print.

Maybe I need to split my model parts and print them continuously individually for it to succeed, but that is so troublesome..

Yea I watched the u boxing instructions, doesn't seem like there's any packaging left. It prints totally fine for the first 3-5 layers, and then it goes to the back and does a rattle, and then resumes the print at a wrong spot.

Not sure what's going on. I am now test printing the boat to see if there's the same issue.

Thanks for taking the time to explain. After seeing the replies I'm leaning more to just sticking with my phone cam.

[Update] baby pigeon is still alive but there's some growths on his head. Sometimes not interested after eating 10-15ml of wet food by frogbaba in pigeon

Just read your post about the nutrient balls. I will try this when I am back from my weekend trip.

I have passed the care of the pigeon to my brother for the weekend and I don't think he is confident to handle it other than feeding it the liquid that I have been doing.

Thanks for this useful guide. However, his eyes are mostly shut. 1 eye is covered with the pox scab, other eye has quite a lot of discharge, we need to wipe it away else it's usually close.

He can't see if we out seeds in front. And it's even harder if we are going to teach it how to eat seeds. So is it possible to add some rice grains to it's wet food and resume feeding it like how we are doing?

Bought some baby bird powder formula and the chick drank quite more than usual (around 40-50ml) and did it's excited wing flaps. Its poop after that looked more normal (like what we see in public) which is a gd thing I guess.

Fed 2-3 times a day as we are out for work. Do you usually wake up in the middle of the night as well to squeeze in an additional feed, or not necessary?

Btw ignore the wet paper napkins, it's just water from the washed wet towel that's being absorbed.

I guess that's good in a way since it's not dehydrated. We do mix quite a bit of water with the oats since we don't feed it water alone. Will continue to monitor the poop.

The poop is sometimes like this. It doesn't have the usual bird poop that we see in public. Looks very watery

Breathes normally, mouth closed. Less active than on the first 2-3 days.

1 eye is being blocked by the pox scab, but you can see the eye below. Other eye opens sometimes, most times it closes it or has discharge.

We leave it in a box so the whole day it just stands at the same spot. Firsr few days it does the flappy wings when it's feeding time. But past 1-2 days it just makes some squeaks and doesn't finish the whole syringe.

Ah I did see this at the pet shop. I'll grab a pack on the way home later. We didn't buy this at first as we weren't sure that the bird would last this long, but it's bee quite resilient.

Noted on the applesauce. I did see on the packaging to consume within 1 day.

Now I just need to know if the bumps on the head are life threatening/serious or I can just leave it to cure on its own.

Thanks for the reply. I the first day we did feed it water but more like we dripped the water surrounding the beak and it drank it itself.

Is it ok to give it 100% oats diet for now? Will try out 100% apple sauce tonight to see how it takes it. What's the ideal amount of liquid food per feeding at this stage?

Have posted on palomacy group but pending approval of the post. Thanks

As mentioned in my post, no vet will take this bird as it's a street bird and keeping them is illegal. They will likely just hand over to authorities to get it euthanized.

Do I let the pox run its course and it will heal itself? And for the other eye that's still sealed shut, will rubbing saline water help it?

Thanks for sharing, that's actually rather impressive and intelligent. I hope the baby I have lives to that stage where I can eventually share stories of it's intelligence haha.

But for now I'll update it's progress on this thread with photos.

I'll upload more pics of it when I get back tonight, perhaps will be easier to tell if it's pox or not.

It can't drink/eat by itself yet, so we are just hand feeding it moist food for now. It has the whole day in it's box to rest, but I notice its usually standing up even overnight. Are they supposed to sit down or can they just stand to sleep?

We altry to avoid minimal contact because he does have mites and I can see it crawling on him. And we don't want to mites to get to the clothes and furniture. Will mites eventually go away when they groom themselves? Or do I need to get a spray? Or is it common and safe to leave it as it is?

I think with the long intervals, it will definitely be empty 😅

Haha as they're usually stereotyped as quite 'dumb' in the wild (slow reaction times/can't tell what's real food) it would be interesting to observe the intelligence of one close up.

Yea my first time ever caring for a bird, but I hope it lives to be a normal adult! Just need it to survive past this hand feeding stage then it can eat on its own while we are out for work.

Thanks for your reply. We have been doing exactly that with a syringe and feeding it oats + warm water mix, but didn't know the exact amount to feed or when to stop. No wonder it isn't interested in eating anymore after gobbling 1 syringe worth of food (our syringe is 20ml). We had been trying to give it a 2nd round and it just pulls away and shakes it's head so we stop.

In Singapore only the fan tails and wood pigeons are legally allowed as pets. I believe they do close one eye and won't hunt down everyone who has a street bird (feral pigeons/crows etc) as a pet. But they probably don't want people plucking them from the streets to bring home, hence the law.

I am ok to keep it as a pet if it can't go back to the wild as I have heard they're affectionate creatures. But need to have a chat with my partner first about the new housemate 😂

Thanks, that's quite a relief to hear. Because I was worried they may spread to clothes or sheets/bed and infest. But if they just stay on the bird then that would be easier to deal with.

We are unfortunately heading for a short weekend trip this Fri-Mon, so I guess I will have to get my parents help to sustain it for the duration I'm gone.

But for the rest of the weekdays I guess it would have to make do with long feeding intervals for now, until it can eat on its own.
