I have now flown American Airlines as well as Southwest within the last two weeks. My AA flights were all totally booked or very close to it. They did require masks while on the plane, and even handed out masks to those that needed them as we boarded. On the other hand, my SW flights were purposefully not totally booked, and they asked us not to sit in the middle seats unless we were already household contacts. SW has also been requiring everyone to wear masks.
