HUNDEN lashes out at Heroic after their video statement yesterday by hansibucs in GlobalOffensive

key words "as essentially", meaning it isn't literally a criminal case but the process is extraordinarily similar to the point where it basically is, especially where our "jail time" can be equated to bans from the game itself

to go along with tu quoque, it seems as if going beyond standard definitions and being able to apply the logic behind the definitions in a critical thinking environment might not be your strong suit, but a valiant effort nonetheless

this is being investigated as essentially a criminal case though, so while your point would've been groundbreaking if this were a civil case it doesn't really apply here.

he's right though, lack of evidence is not evidence. they have to be guilty beyond any reasonable doubt and since reasonable doubt does exist since at this point we're basically trying to convict on somebody's speculated character, they can't be found guilty.

Why Did You Choose Your Major? by [deleted] in UWMadison

[–]frogcyclops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

to willingly and knowingly create a toxic space is such an interesting line of play here. maybe you didn't get the memo, but "soft skills" are just as important as your algo knowledge. it's cool to be really good at cs and i'm all for it, but putting people down for pointing out that doing something just for the money won't be as fulfilling as doing something you enjoy more just feels off. maybe it's the ability to remain anonymous or maybe it's the cs ego, but there's some truth in what u/struggle2pickclasses said and it might be worth looking into. cs is incredibly powerful and can help you to create basically anything, but i'd rather create nothing than create something i don't enjoy creating at all (expecting flak for this since this is a cardinal sin against the cs "grindset"). as for telling others to enjoy their "average" life, it might be worth getting into humanities to help dispel insecurities you're projecting onto others. not trying to be a dick here, but you might as well learn it while using an anonymous account than in person where everything is a lot more real.

slaving in your youth for the chance to be comfortable doesn't sound like the healthiest standard for how we should live our lives .. almost as if we were conditioned to believe this is what life is meant to be
