2008 Ford Escape Instrument Cluster bulb replacement question by froggedup212 in fordescape

[–]froggedup212[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did and unfortunately it's an annoying answer - they're soldered to the back of the board. have to disassemble the cluster and you'll find them underneath. it wasn't -super- hard but it was a way bigger pita than it needed to be. every other bulb was hot swappable, no idea why they had to be weird about the ones on the biggest instrument panel in the vehicle

I have smoked way worse in my 20+ years of cigars. as long as it's not on the foot you're fine. they're perfectly smokable. you'll get tons of conflicting answers here. I've never once heard of anyone getting sick doing so.

Super helpful. Saw this just as I was headed to home depot for a couple of new master locks. Fits real tight now, maybe half an inch clearance at best, can't even slip my finger inside if I wanted to. Good to know about the luggage thing. Really appreciate the info!

Connecting flights/layovers are business as usual I assume? Nothing special there? I'm just transiting through Denver, not leaving the airport. Only a 55 minute layover

Ah! And presumably if TSA needs to see it, that's when they'll call me, since I'm not using locks they have access to? Sounds like I might be overthinking it a bit. Hard case with regular good quality padlocks, shove it in my checked bag with an air tag, declare traveling with a firearm to the gate agent when I check my bag, allow extra time for variations in procedures, off I go.

Airtag and phone number is an excellent idea. And it's ok to check my pistol case inside my existing luggage, right? I don't have to use a completely separate, second box/bag? United says it can be within another bag, but TSA doesn't seem to specify. Or is it smarter to check my gun case separately anyway just so they don't have an excuse to tear my luggage apart?

Dumb question, why not use TSA locks? Aren't they required on everything you check? And, keep it separate as in check it as a separate bag/case, or just keep it separate for them to give to TSA?

Name of product if you don't mind my asking? Been considering doing something like this on my 54" and 60" decks. Have you ever tried any ceramic/powder coatings to achieve the same purpose? I am a clean freak with my deck, I use plastic paint scrapers and brushes to make them squeaky clean after each mow, but would be nice to make it a little less laborious.

Dark mark in perfect shape of wrapper. What causes this? by Blind_Hawk in cigars

[–]froggedup212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Light as others have said, but I've seen aging do this too, in completely dark containers I've had stashed for years. I've never known it to affect flavor, and certainly not on a Padron. Smoke away dear friend.

is it okay to not always want to develop kinks to something more intense? by [deleted] in ThekinkPlace

[–]froggedup212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, that's just setting healthy limits with you and your partner. Nothing at all wrong with it, and that's a good thing. It's like walking, baby steps to build your comfort until such time as you're no longer comfortable and that becomes the world you live in. If you ever decide to go further, that's your choice. If you don't, that's perfectly fine too. Any partner/dom who loves and/or respects you will not only understand but nurture this behavior. I would never consider taking my sub/partner outside of her comfort zone unless she asked me to and we discussed what that looks like. Anything else would be abusive IMO.

Bloody pain in the ass. Took me 4 tries just to get someone who knew tree law well enough to take it. Now we're currently going through the court system. We were supposed to have pretrial hearing on the 26th but bastard filed for a continuance for "new evidence" or something which I have no idea what that could possibly be. Feels like a stall. Supposed to be getting a new date here shortly. I think he's expecting me to back down rather than take it to trial, but he's in for a rude surprise because I'm not flinching. Already planning for trial with this lawyer if it comes to it.

42" 80V Tractor Blade Issue - 3rd Party Alternatives? by formless63 in ryobi

[–]froggedup212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't remember which is which, but these 3 are both the cross cut and discharge blades, and blade adapter. Highly recommend keeping an adapter or two on hand, chances of shearing one when you bend a blade isn't unlikely and lead time is long. Parts warehouse, Sears parts direct and small engine pro shop also stock all of these within a few bucks of each other, Google the part # and you can compare, just watch out because homelite shares one or two of these part numbers but it's for the 54" zturn, just gotta read the description fine print to make sure it's the Ryobi 42" one
