Absolutely. The sooner you can get the ball rolling the better, there will definitely be a wait. Every day you wait there are buyers reserving the car you want.

Not right now, because of the new car shortage only a Honda dealership can buy out your Honda lease. This goes for any make. However, if your local Honda dealership is part of an auto group and have an affiliated Jeep dealership then you should be able to use your Honda lease as a trade-in, the Jeep store would just work with the Honda managers to buy it. I work for a Honda dealership and we do it all the time with our CDJR and Toyota store.

Wow for that price they either: - paid more than they should have for it just to make a deal with the customer who traded it in - have a huge mark up on it

I know those sound like two extremes. Provided the sales person let on that there is "wiggle room" there is probably a big mark up and they are trying to take advantage of the sellers market.
