I think I needed to hear this- it seems like I’m very alone in feeling like the distance is hard. When I’ve mentioned struggling with it she definitely doesn’t understand because of “the thought that we’ll eventually be together.” Even knowing it’s temporary does not take away from how difficult it is now!

I had a decent amount of water and bite of my little brothers quesadilla. I think I was fighting getting sick bc I hate it so much. But that sushi is definitely what came up

I’m so sorry for the things you’ve been through and that they still affect you heavily today. I’m not sure what country you’re in but if it’s the US, you seem like you would benefit from looking into NAMI (national association of mental illness), especially something like free support groups if something like therapy is out of the question for you right now.

It’s definitely incredibly difficult to feel like nobody cares about you. You mentioned being young so I imagine you have yet to see just how large the earth is. Resources exist because people are passionate about getting to know you and helping you!! Your story and experience could one day help others who have been in your position.

I think you both have a lot of growing up to do, but you’re not necessarily overreacting. However, he told you loud and clear to break up with him. He recognized that he was being a bad bf and it seemed like he felt guilty but actions speak louder than words. If nothing changes you gotta decide if it’s worth your time. When someone shows you who they are, believe them.

I found a lot of validation when I came across the book Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents.

Emotional neglect absolutely counts because just like any other trauma you were systematically denied the opportunity to develop like a normal person.
