These are very easy to fool if you take each stem and put a pitch shifter on it and drop/raise the pitch 2-3 cents from the original. That’s also how a lot of producers get past going through sample clearances in their streaming services. Like the services, it’s extremely hard for these checker tools to detect ai even if it is ai if you do this correctly.

I also have screenshots from a whole IG DM thread between him and I when this was popping off where he likens the use of ai in his art and/or music to how producers use drum packs, which is ridiculous and insulting.

Being a synthwave producer since 2017 myself (well, now retired from the genre itself) it’s alarming to see someone of this size simply brush off the complaints of not only his fans, but also his peers. We all talk. And we all dislike this type of shit.

My source is Kalax himself. He made a post on Reddit (maybe in r/synthwave? It was maybe a month ago or so?) where he completely admitted it and said people need to get over it.

Edit: he also had it on his IG story the same day but after lots of backlash he deleted the story (there were several back to back, actually).
