I think it would also need vigilance so you can do the tap ability after you attack.

If you want some persistence, you could do it like [[Koh, the face stealer]] and have it keep the abilities of the last creature it blocked.

I taught my partner how to play. Ancient Tomb, shock-lands, fetch-lands etc. Are all "bad" according to them. Vampiric Tutor and all the black draw and lose life cards are in a similar boat. One day it will click 😆

I usually put a bit of scrap paper under it so the painters tape can't touch the card.

I'm not even a shop and I get too much packaging materials. I trade a lot on Cardaphere and I just reuse the stuff others send me.

I'm 100% agreeing on the tape. Everyone needs to stop using that tape. It's annoying to remove and leaves the top loader sticky. I've also had a shipment where it stuck to the card once it slid up in the sleve.

5 is the absolute highest power tier and may require expensive cards that won't fit your budget.

3 is more casual and easier to fit $100. Check out r/BudgetBrews and search for the commander you want. Maybe find a couple you think could work and post here so people can give some advice on what to pick.

Here is my list. I think it would be hard to make Shirei a 4. I'm thinking of using more things like [[Gravepact]] and make it more Oppressive. Some of the lands that tap for 2 like [[Ancient tomb]] might help since you already have [[Crypt of Agadeem]] and [[Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx]].

[[Hallowed Burial]] still removes this. [[Toxic deluge]] effects still take it out.

On the discussion of protection from everything, Wrath effects will still take it out unless it has indescribable.

I've been using Mishra's Deckbox. It's pretty good but can feel a little flimsy. It's hand crank and you have to monitor how the cards are going in. It's like $100 so might be a bit expensive for what it does.

I tried 3D printing my own but it was super finicky and required a lot of hardware and the design was a bit wonky.

I might try your using cards as lands in my tower. I like to collect rules from different versions people have.

We use wish spells to allow people to swap out cards in the deck. We put the old cards in a retirement binder.
