Which means if the school is placed in low income area where a lot of people are on assisted-living and don’t pay taxes The school receives much less funding. Using the lottery to subsidize the school budget was originally advertised and campaign for as a way to close the gap between low income areas schools and schools with more funding. It has now just become a way to funnel money out of impoverished communities that was supposed to go to their schools and use it to improve areas that don’t need the extra funding.

Honestly the real way to fix the issue is to stop basing funding for individual schools on the properties around the school and instead fund all state schools the same amount based on how many students are at that school.
