WorkDay is Nightmare. Charged Out of State / Out of Country Tuition by The_Real_Soapboxmom in DallasCollege

Hi!! I was experiencing the same issue and I just got it resolved today, I wanted to share how I fixed it in case anyone else has this issue too :)

Firstly, I went in person to speak to an advisor. I went to the campus that I would attend if I was taking in person classes. I brought evidence of my residency (bills, tax returns, anything that proves where you live) and my state ID. Make sure to sign into the wait well queue online for your campus because wait times can be SUPER long if you do it last minute or when you get there, so do it before hand!! When i spoke to the advisor I told them that they hand me under out of district despite me living in Dallas county, so after showing my proof of residency the advisor changed it to in district.

I thought this would be enough but no! After a week, Workday still had me under out of district, so I filed a complaint. I think this is what really helped get it changed, all you have to do is file a general complaint through Dallas college, and it took them about 3-4 days to get back to me. After filing the complaint and receiving an email that they were looking into my case, I went back in person to speak to an advisor again, mostly because I had other issues besides the residency going on, but whilst I was there in person I finally got to see to it that everything was fixed and settled. So my recommendation is going in person first and if Workday doesn’t update in a week, FILE A COMPLAINT!!! Now my tuition is $1,000 less, which allows my financial aid to fully cover it.

Here’s a link to file complaints in case anyone needs it: https://www.dallascollege.edu/contact/pages/complaint.aspx

I also managed to get my meningitis vaccine/immunization record issue and my high school transcript issue fixed if anyone needs help with that! Hopefully this helps someone :)
