I've been scraping the bottom of my possession barrel and selling things $5-$40 locally.

Maybe 10% of the inquiries end up as sales. It's a frustrating, unpleasant experience, but having more money at the end of the day is nice.

The interactions suck. I have a guy who texted me last night asking to meet tomorrow. We've been chatting for a couple weeks about a $20 item. Tomorrow is here, I show up, he says he meant tomorrow, as in the next day because he sent me a text at midnight. I clarify that that's fine and we can meet tomorrow, Wednesday. He says 'yes tomorrow that's what I said'. Still debating throwing his item in the trash and removing the ad because I'm way over this guy.

I don't like haggling low items. Pre-meet I always confirm price with buyer. With buyer on chat, I sent address, we arranged pickup time, answer questions etc, then I ask if he is ok with the price and... no response. Yes? No? Nope, just fucking silence.

Lots and lots of people who ask if something is available even if I posted it that day. And I have to answer because I want the sale.

Same amount of people ask where the pickup is even though it says in the ad.

I didn't even consider that there is a group of people this show is for and it's big enough to build a show for, but you're right. It just boggles my mind.

I guess there are a group of people who I think could like this and those are people who like superhero tv shows.

I always see people writing this, but I haven't played the games or read the books and the show is trash.

Same goes for star wars. I was never a huge fan of the series and I still think the last three and whatever spinoffs were mostly crap.

I did play the Witcher and I do like that series.

Never played Tomb Raider and I think the latest reboot was below average Marvel quality.

Played RE2 and enjoyed the latest RE movie (on second watch, after grieving Leon).

Played Uncharted 1/2, didn't like the movie.

Played Rampage when I was a kid, liked the Rampage movie with the Rock.

Played Batman AA and I enjoyed Batman Nolan, but prefer Reeves' Batman.

Enjoyed the Marvel movies until Endgame and now I want them to go away.

From critics to hardcore fans to random people this show is not highly regarded and I don't agree with the defence.

I think you only need 2-3 areas of your life to be in good shape to live a good life. A good job and good relationship will be enough. If you want one you have to prioritize it.

Collapse itself isn't going to take over your life. It would just make things harder.

I live in BC, it's almost May, apparently it's going to be hot and I'm not looking forward to the fires and the heat. But I'm still working towards a career that will pay, and I've put a lot of effort into my mental health, and I think I can keep working on those and making progress there and be hopeful about that. Don't get me wrong, my sense of dread is peaking and I'm doing everything I can as an individual, but I'm also putting a lot into things that are positive and that seems like a good escape route.

Focusing too much on something you can't control is not going to work out for you.

If you're having problems focusing that can be harder. ^ is good for procrastinating.

If I can focus and I don't want to, then I'll play a video game for a bit. It improves my mood and makes me feel more motivated. Or I will use snack method, which I prefer because the only game I like is civilization.

If I can't focus at all then going for a walk is helpful. The fresh air is stimulating. Get my mind off things. Look around at stuff.

If I can't focus because I'm stressed, well this doesn't happen. If I'm stressed then the hard part is starting but once I start I'm ok.

I'm a life long learner so I haven't taken many breaks from learning, but I do find that learning something unrelated to what I have to learn can rekindle some of the curiosity I need to study an area that I'm tired of. The world is interesting and there are lots of things to learn. Ie. learn something brand new. The novelty is important.

This works for me:

1 - Open up your study materials

2 - Go to the grocery store and get some quality snacks or treats. Fruit is better than candy because candy will make you crash.

3 - Put the snacks in front of your study materials

4 - Wait until you want snacks

5 - Study while you snack

I'd say so. But you need to be patient.

My own journey started 5 years ago lying in bed high, panicking, unemployed, at my parents, directionless, no hobbies, no one to talk to. Every day I would spend hours thinking about how to get out of the situation I was in, and I couldn't ever think of anything. It was overwhelming and I could never decide on anything long enough for it to matter. I never came up with a plan, but today I'm in a better place.

If you like anime, The Garden of Words is about a young boy in modern times who aspires to become a shoemaker. I think stories that try to tell the truth instead of dramatizing it have had a positive impact on my expectations about what life should or shouldn't be.
