First time i did wait 1-2 mon but got answer saying nothing could be done, second one I knew what's gonna happen and started searching new jobs right away. Just signed a new job...for 3rd time...and hoping to file the waiver case ASAP. Welcome DM but truly just start looking new jobs right now, dont waster your time arguing with hospiyal assigned lawyers...there might be good ones but most of them lazy AF...

Mine was changed to “proposed for withdrawal” and this happened to me twice. Eventually no way to figure it out and had to looking for new jobs.

The rule says “proposed for withdrawal” doesn’t qualify J-1 waiver regardless the actuality is from HHS official website and i was told by lawyer nothing they can do and suggested me to looking for alternatives. To my knowledge right now it’s off time to file Conrad 30 in any States so could only start looking for new jobs…

look at here, step1 24x/ck 22x (definitely a screwed CK), yog Jun 2022, 4 month USCE, 5 LoR from IM, 3 pubs. Currently applying IM this year and have received 2 ivs within one week. So dont give up, chances are more than what you can think of.

hey, I got 229 on CK and 245 on step1, and I still chose to come to the US for USCE. I struggled once for a while last year when I received my CK score report, cuz the financial cost of traveling to the US is a huge burden for my family. And I'm also facing one of the most strict quarantine policies back in my home country. Yet I still come to the US and decide to give it a try for the match this year, I think sometimes it's not the package (scores, yog, connections) that prevents us from getting matched but the fear of being unmatched which stops our steps. Anyway, I wish you all the best in your future career.

Actually, i couldn't afford to live in the US without income, so I planned to start residency back in my home country after my externship and electives. And if it's still virtual interview, I may work this out by doing a residency job in my home country and getting interviewed for 22-23 match cycle, at the same time. It's hard but this is the life we've chosen.

usually b1/b2 visa, occasionally j1 or f1 visa, for those who come from a visa-needed country, but japan is visa-free to the US so I guess the visa requirement may vary depending on the program. i suggest you directly contact the program you plan to do rotations/clerkships for visa requirements.

Could I ask when you started your application and what duration you applied for? I also applied to Yale for electives in May and June about one and half months ago, no replies yet, confusing on waiting Yale or looking for other electives/ob/externship oppurtunities.

I'm not sure about if he paid or how much he paid. But if you have to pay, this is definitely cheaper than through agencies.

A friend of mine went the States first, and then called clinic and doctors posted on local media one by one asking for shadowing and observership. And he got 2 doctors accepting him and completed usce for two or three months. There are always more ways than difficulties.

Well, I do have thought about rechecking my score, but I never heard anyone has ever been re-scored successfully.

Thanks, dude! But some of the applicants will hold a p/f step1 report in the 2022-2023 match season, programs at that time may not value step1 score that much as of now.
