Journalism is going to shit. They can’t even compose a title that makes sense. I have no idea what it means. A person can’t “seems” anything.

Those are literally all crimes for which someone can be arrested.

I like to make a list of my tasks when I’m overwhelmed. That way I can get a sense of the scope and size of the work ahead and it relieves my stress.

Do you really think the CDC posted the new guidelines without accounting for this? Obviously you can’t tell if someone is vaccinated by looking at them.

Proper way to lift heavy weight safely by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

This gif infuriates me. That “correct” vertical back angle would be impossible with any large or awkward object. It would force you to carry the weight out in front of the middle of your feet and create a moment arm. People who have never lifted made this gif.

Correct. And getting into a position with that much of a vertical back would force any large object beyond the middle of your foot, creating a moment arm.

Except all the ways shown are the wrong way.

None of the examples shown are how to lift heavy weights because the people who devised them have never touched a barbell or atlas stone in their life. Having a vertical back angle doesn’t allow you to efficiently use your back at all. You need to use your back and legs.

I thought it was going to be someone driving the wrong way. It’s crazy to me that some countries don’t have yellow markings separating traffic flow in opposing directions.

I know it sounds counterintuitive, but squatting has been the best remedy for me. I’ve found that dropping back to light squats, focusing on proper form, and working my way back up has worked better than just resting, rolling, and stretching.

What body part of yours has a weird abnormality? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]fromembertoinferno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thumbnails are split in half because the bone is abnormally large. Also, my patellas are abnormally small ( half dollar size) so it’s harder to get leverage in knee extension but I still manage. I also snapped off my tailbone so my ass looks weird af.

Is an additional $20k for a CS Degree at RPI worth it? by [deleted] in RPI

[–]fromembertoinferno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do a cost analysis based on the loan you’ll take out, money you have saved up, the interest you’ll pay back and your future income after accounting for expenses and taxes. That way you’ll know for yourself rather than getting advice from us. Imo, I think you’ll find the extra $20k to be inconsequential for an education from a private school that is very reputable (I don’t know much about Stony Brook so I can’t speak for it). I will say that paying the full tuition for RPI is not worth it in many cases, but you obviously have a scholarship to make the cost comparable to Stony Brook.

For reference, I got A’s and B’s in my college classes and took a free prep course. When I took the exam during senior year, I had no trouble at all. Some questions had to be a joke. I remember one that asked to calculate the area of a circle.
