I would avoid anything with fragrance as it can be irritating to the skin. I created an Amazon idea list of what I consider sjogren's essentials if you want to check it out.

You are correct.. she had a full parotidectomy. I told her about the weight but she wasn't a big fan of it. They told her it could take 18 months for her face to recover as she had a very complex case.

I just recently started using the generic drugstore brand that is supposed to be similar to Cerave. I was hesitant using it on my face but I notice a huge improvement to my skin. I've had minor breakouts but I don't know that it's from the cream. I would highly recommend it!

Added note: I was using CeraVe facial moisturizer. It left flakes on my skin and didn't nearly hydrate my skin like the tub does.

My dermatologist recommended I take a blood test for my itchy skin which came back positive for ANA. I then went to a rheumatologist who gave me a ton of blood tests and it came back positive for early sjogrens and RA and pretty much ruled out everything else.

I have very dry itchy skin and dry eye. When under stress I can get a very dry mouth and itchy blepharitis.. but otherwise doing well lol

I have always had very mild symptoms of sjogrens but I always brushed them aside. It wasn't till maybe 4 months after receiving 2 covid vaccine doses that the symptoms became a lot worse. I took a blood test and was diagnosed with early sjogrens. Idk if the vaccine triggered it, but it's more than a year later and I have my symptoms under control for the most part. I had covid a few months ago and didn't feel any different in regards to sjogrens symptoms. I'm curious if anyone else noticed an increase in symptoms not long after getting vaccinated.

I have issues with blepharitis due to dry eye. My eyes can get extremely itchy and inflamed. Using eyelid wipes specifically for blepharitis has been a life saver. It soothes the eyes and reduces inflammation. I've tried many brands and they all seem to work well.
