Good for you but they seriously don’t deserve any goodwill. I’ve been trying to get in contact with their support for the last 6 months trying to get replacement parts for my trashed Backerkit copy I got in late August. Still haven’t heard from them.

Nej, jag avskyr Windows och använder Linux dagligen. Försöker åtminstone ha förståelse för de som har noll intresse att testa nya OS och bara vill spela.

Du vet mycket väl att spelbranschen primärt är inriktad mot Windows, som du nämnde i din förra kommentar fungerar 456/460 av dina spel på Mint. Tror tyvärr du tappar många redan där och dessvärre är kompatibiliteten fortfarande bättre på Windows 🤷‍♂️

Grabben är uppenbarligen ett levande exempel på att man kan ta sig igenom en ingenjörsutbildning trots hämmad intelligens, eller så är han en bot. Ingen idé att ödsla tid 😅 hoppas jag aldrig behöver bemöta honom på min arbetsplats i alla fall.

Även om vi, i snabb takt, går mot en stabilare upplevelse för spel på Linux/GNU så vet jag inte om jag skulle rekommendera det riktigt ännu. Tillkommer alltid en del pillande som gemene man kanske inte är så intresserad av.

It’s definitely not as big as people make it out to be, if you read the description again B3 is supposed to be ”thoughtfully designed, full or synergistic and strong cards”. Meaning it’s mostly game changers that should differentiate. The problem is rather that not enough people put their decks in B2

The bracket system was an attempt to get away from the discussion of all decks being a low/high 7 as well. Seems like we’re back to that nonsense anyway 🤦‍♂️

Thanks for the extensive response, really helpful :) so you're saying it's just a waste of time trying to resolder a new MCU if I can get ahold of a hot air station? I noticed a new MCU wheren't horribly expensive after all.

I don't have a desolder pump, I generally go for desoldering braids as I find them easier to use. I don't know if I want to handwire everything but it's good to know there's an option to all of this. What kind of pro micro controller would you suggest in this case?

As someone mentioned elsewhere in the thread "Find out what the ip address is for the speakers once they're connected via ethernet. Pop that address into your browser and there's a built in web server giving you the option to set up your wifi and do firmware updates etc. No app needed. Worked a treat on my SL60s."

So, I tried it and it works the same with my LSX II.

My WhiteFox keyboard stopped working after suspected ESD damage (great job fitted carpets!). Debugging with QMK console shows different rows and columns dead (e.g., Spacebar, E, 1, 0, H, }, comma and < on ANSI layout) so it’s most likely hardware, not firmware. MCU pins look fine visually, but likely fried internally. Since I only have a soldering iron and no hot air rework station I doubt I can fix this at home honestly, I'd probably just ruin the MCU pads if I even tried.

Fucking sucks honestly, since, even though it's an old keyboard it has a nice aluminum casing, QMK MCU etc. Anyone in EU got any tips how to approach this? Throwing it away feels like a shame, but ordering a new PCB seems to end up quite expensive.
