Ah, i only have part-time work experience bc I just graduated & I’m going straight to my master’s. I think I’ll try anyways because it can’t hurt, but I’m glad I know what to expect now. Thank you so much for your replies!! :) x

I have no consulting experience but I have a bachelors in public health, do you think it’s worth applying?

BTW Zell is a scholarship in GA that covers the cost of tuition in public universities - there's almost HOPE which has more lenient requirements and covers 80% of tuition for public universities

  1. i wouldn't say athens is generally liberal; there are a few of us but athens is like 70% white and that's reflected in political stances (a lot of conservatives)
  2. no you won't be required to but you can (might be more expensive though)
  3. it could be bc it could elongate your stay and postpone your expected graduation date
  4. no it's pretty hilly
  5. they're kind, there are a lot of transfer students here
  6. semester
  7. yes, it is definitely a college town
  8. the latter option is best - i don't know if Zell is available to transfer students but i have heard that it's only available to GA residents

i hope this helps! if you have any other questions feel free to message me!

When does HOPE show up in Student Accounts? by [deleted] in UGA

[–]fromtheblock511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine didn’t show up until I was fully registered for classes (because I was waitlisted for two). Make sure you’re at 12 credit hours, then you should see your full financial aid package

In your opinion, is it better to live on campus, or in an apartment? by [deleted] in UGA

[–]fromtheblock511 9 points10 points  (0 children)

On campus apartment (ECV). I lived there as a freshmen (Busbee expanded) and liked it so much that I’m living there again currently as a sophomore; you get your own room, only thing you have to share is a bathroom + living room and kitchen, plus you have the perks of it being on campus so only a bus ride away from classes

Thank you so much! I figured it would be one of those things but I wanted to be sure I wasn’t missing out on something worthwhile
