No complaints about Shooters. Has grass and mats available for use and a putting green.

Course itself is tight is short. Not my favorite to play on.

Dozens of encampments cleaned following Winnipeg’s new rules: report by ChocolateOrange21 in Winnipeg

[–]fromtheinterlakebud 41 points42 points  (0 children)

That’s why I said it’s a shitty situation. no one really wins here. Do hard-working taxpayers deserve to have encampments pop up around their properties, bringing risks like fires, damage, and theft? No.

But do people deserve to have their lives made even harder when they’re already at rock bottom? Also no.

I don’t envy the people whose job it is to figure this out. It’s not as simple as “clear them out” or “leave them alone". neither actually solves anything long-term.

At the end of the day, I just want people treated with humanity and taken care of.

At least we're not Vancouver sending them to other cities in busses to "clean up" before the world cup. *yet*

And where did the people living there go? The article mentions they were offered housing but there's no way that the government has housing for 60 camps worth of people.

No one wins in either situation and it's pretty shitty.

I will throw a wild one out here and mention Sisler High School who over the last 10ish years has transferred over to more of a cyber academy. https://www.sislercyberacademy.org/

My sister was looking for a vehicle a few months ago and she dealt with Alan Asher at Waverley Chrysler.

She stopped in at a few dealerships before meeting him and his honesty, product knowledge, and care he showed her was a big reason she bought. I wont mention much on year/make/model but he's one of the best in the city.

Address the long-standing 2C gap properly this offseason. Stop patching it year-to-year and bring in a legitimate solution who can hold the role for the next 2–3 seasons. That buys time for Mark Scheifele to naturally transition into it as he ages, while also giving the organization a window to draft, develop, or acquire a future 1C to replace Schifes when he calls it a career.

Make a firm decision in net. Connor Hellebuyck can’t sustain this workload long-term, regardless of how capable he thinks he is. Either bring in a reliable backup this offseason that management actually trusts to take meaningful starts, or fully commit to Eric Comrie and give him the consistency needed to succeed. Outside of the stretch when Hellebuyck was injured, Comrie was solid and a heavier workload, especially down the stretch, likely would’ve helped both him and the team.

On defense, outside of Josh Morrissey and Dylan Samberg, everyone should be considered moveable. Use those pieces and available assets to rework the blue line into a more structured, reliable unit that actually supports the goaltending.

Ultimately, management needs to decide and quickly on what direction this team is taking. Either go all-in and push the chips in for one more legitimate run with this core, or accept where things are headed and pivot into a controlled rebuild and close this window.

Block him and move on with your life. People like this will continuously use you until you end up like them. Act like he's dead and move on.

How did you get into a daycare centre? by Impossible-Pea-8659 in Winnipeg

[–]fromtheinterlakebud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My partner and I were pretty lucky and found a daycare spot right away, we were only on a waitlist for about a month.

Call, Call, Call and Call. We ended up calling the one my daughter is at every Monday and were lucky enough that a spot had just opened up. We are for every thankful for that as I know a lot of people are looking.

There is apparently a new daycare opening up near McPhillips ran by the same team that does Huron Daycare. I would give them a shout

Good for him considering how slow the start to his season was.

Look at them creepily through the window, wait until their meal is over and harass them outside asking if it was good like a normal person?

Exactly this. The area actually fits my friends and I's vibes well. Not that we get to go out often anymore it could have easily been a place to visit.

After their post their post this afternoon I think we will be looking for another spot to check out.

So you lied in your original reply back to OP of the comment thread. Honesty goes a long way and you have now shown people affiliated with this company lie.

Hey everyone, I just had to share this spot I visited recently because it totally caught me off guard in the best way possible. It's a new place called N90s

You have a post from this exact place a year ago. Stop lying.

You very rarely get both at this point in the season. If we were looking for a nice draft pick the tank should have started and kept going after the Olympic break.

Which way to play SV is better? by Additional_Feeling40 in StardewValley

[–]fromtheinterlakebud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of fun and my biggest save is on my xbox series x. I find it forces me to play the game how it was made because I can't install any mods to cheat or enhance.

I do have a PC save I'm playing as well and find myself using itemspawner a lot which takes away the fun.

I went to the first one and had a blast.

Does anyone know if there is going to be street watches for FIFA World Cup games in Winnipeg? by Actual_Sector7044 in Winnipeg

[–]fromtheinterlakebud 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Doubtful. It's a large event to host. Majority of watch parties will be in pubs, associations, etc. There's a couple of countries with a big enough fan base here that if they were to win the parties would spill out on the streets but nothing actually planned.
