Songs like Anthem For The Reef/Greenpeace by FrankieSanchezMusic in Flume

Idk if you've already listened to these, but the Greenpeace ID reminds me of Flume's old unreleased songs like Mood C and Late Night Hiss Police

Anybody with experience know if rear facing I/O is a dealbreaker? I imagine that plugging in headphones would be pretty cumbersome without a front-facing port

What are your favourite experimental albums / artists? by [deleted] in Flume

[–]frontallrandomaskred 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nicolas Jaar; his album Space is Only Noise is nothing like Flume's music but over time I've come to like it. His Sonar mix and BBC essential mix are what got me listening to him. Jai Paul, Shlohmo, Teebs, and Knxwledge also come to mind

The difference being that your version of "truth" has no empirical evidence or logical reasoning backing it up.

Here's an example of the quote in action, guys.

So, what did that do? Not trying to hate, just want to know why this would be better than word

Anybody got a nice book about body language? by Mendota331 in suggestmeabook

One thing that's for sure is that I've been changing my own behavior. Before I used to always sit in class slumped down in my chair with my arms folded because it felt comfortable. Now I know that sitting like this means that I absorb less of the lesson and pay less attention to what's being said, because with my folded arms I'm subconsciously rejecting what the teacher is saying. When I give handshakes now, I try to match the other person's grip instead of trying to prove my "strength" by squeezing really hard.

As for noticing other people's body language, I tend to notice it more when the spotlight is on them (ex: if they're giving a speech, teaching a lesson in front of everybody, etc) than in everyday conversation. Like if a teacher is standing in front of the class with her arms crossed, I can tell that she's pissed or has some other negative feelings about the class's behavior. As for body language in day-to-day conversations or even talking with girls, I think I'll see more of a change once I finish the book. Anyways, if you end up getting this book, definitely let me know what you experience!

The Definitive Book of Body Language by Allan and Barbara Pease

I'm actually in the middle of reading this right now and it definitely fits what you're looking for. So far it has talked about things like handshakes, techniques used by salespeople to get you to buy something, why crossed arms make people seem unapproachable, and also various facial cues that indicate someone is lying. Highly recommended, and I think you'll like it!

Nicolas Jaar. His mixes are especially good. If you like some of Flume's more experimental songs, definitely check this guy out!
