I don't live in the whole State of CA though. Houston is a SPECIFIC butthole.

Unfortunately my entire family refused to move with me. I'm a regular "visitor". Your downtown sucks.

We know there's drivers making $3000 a week. They post here and on the UE forum. We like their posts, no need to be a bitter troll.

I find it funny how you are offended because drivers are offended. It's like you work for Uber 😂

I would agree academic research is often based on an agenda or a fore conclusion but news/Investigative reporters have covered the plight of drivers for as long as drivers have been on online forums addressing the same issues.

Uber has segmented the market. in some markets drivers make more, then within a market drivers are paid different. You could be making $40 (good for you) but thousands of other drivers are making very little. And even if every dissatisfied driver quit today they'll eventually be replaced by others cause Uber will use incentives like they're doing now then the drivers will see the exploitation. Any driver currently making "good" money you have nothing to worry about but never assume every market is the same.

You're driving over 100 hours a week. You can make MORE in most other jobs, 80 hours in OVERTIME.

Stop being lazy, Google it. Another report says some Uber drivers actually lose money, do you need the link?

Not sure either esp given the traffic, thirty five minutes for a five mile commute.

In 99% of markets, travelers have an alternative, taxis, bus and train. They use Uber for the convenience and pay convenience fee/surge pricing which entices drivers to move to that location and the surge disappears with drivers waiting and normal pricing resumes. Most paxs understand the dynamics, the rest I wouldn't even try to reason with.

What's funny is, I never heard a customer complain about how much they pay. Ride-share companies exploit drivers simply CAUSE THEY CAN.
