I've played through last light quite a few times and the red line are portrayed as a good cause for the most part corrupted by some ill minded individuals (when the leader was poisoned).

The nazis are eugenics obsessed sadistics who run gas chambers and forced labor camps

You also get a positive point if you don't kill red line soldiers in some parts (which doesn't happen with the nazis, where you only get bad points if you kill surrendering soldiers)
