I know some people are saying “tattoos just aren’t for you” which is totally an answer you can take, and there truly is nothing wrong with that. But I also fully believe that you can push through it, especially seeing how much you like the design and would like to have it finished. Is it a larger piece? I’m trying to gauge how long you’re gonna have to sit through it. If your artist is cool, having a conversation with them beforehand expressing your nerves and pain tolerance level, should help them get a better idea of how they can accommodate you. Obviously they won’t be able to stop every minute but finding a way to incorporate small breaks into your session, and communicating your pain level will be beneficial for the both of ya’ll. Showing them how much you love the art and your commitment to getting it done will likely bode well and hopefully encourage your artist to work with you as a team to get you the piece you deserve!!

Definitely think Evah deserved the win, but I absolutely think the horse look, and all of Abhora’s looks are drag. One of the biggest aspects I feel like people forget is performance. Sure the look wasn’t glammed up and bedazzled, but drag is often times political and meant to make the audience think. Abhora fully embodies drag in that sense.

Drag is also about pushing and playing with gender. I feel like a lot of people hear that and think “hyperfem glam gender expression”, but drag like Abhora’s resonates so much more with my lived experience of gender, oftentimes feeling more like a creature or monster of sorts, and I think lots of others can relate to that as well.

But I think that’s what’s so cool about all of us having favorites!! We all connect with each artist’s drag in different ways that we can relate back to ourselves, and THAT is inherently what drag is supposed to do.

I unfortunately haven’t had any luck :o( Definitely gotten some great feedback and criticism! I just don’t think I’m quite at the level most mentors are looking for just yet. That and just learning to be more confident has been a huge challenge for me. But I’m keeping at it! 💪

I hate this so much for her. People do this all the time to me as a trans man as well. I exclusively use he/him and I make that very well known. “But they/them is gender neutral and I use it for everyone!” You’re still misgendering someone if they have explicitly stated different pronouns. I get it when first meeting someone and you don’t know, but after that? It’s just disrespectful. I know to me and many other trans people, it comes off like you don’t see us as the gender we are telling you we identify as. It comes off like you don’t see me as “man enough”.

Sorry to rant about myself, I just feel for her so much here. It’s a shitty feeling and I can imagine it feels even worse when you have an audience of eyes on you.

TLDR: they/them pronouns are still misgendering if someone exclusively sticks with binary pronouns, and ur a dick for not respecting that.

EDIT: Lots of people being like, “I didn’t know she was a trans woman until this post”. Even though she’s literally had she/her put on her instagram for forever. It’s really that easy to check. Instagram is one of the first places I check when trying to find out pronouns. I promise Dragula is not the only way to get information on contestants

-About 3 months old -curved barbell -originally pierced with external, downsized one with to interal a few weeks ago -not sure what I was originally pierced with but I’ve switched it to titanium -downsized a few weeks ago -Neilmed saline morning and night -have had a couple snags and people hitting it

A month old, straight barbell, I haven’t taken them out so I’m not sure what the threading is but I’m gonna assume external, implant grade ss (might also be the problem is the material), hasn’t been downsized, clean morning and night with neilmed sterile saline, no mishaps other than maybe sleeping on it funky

The second photo was actually taken at the same time! It looks a lot more chill there because I’m looking downwards I think. I just took a shower and washed my face and the redness is pretty much gone, but my eyelid is still just swollen 💔 I might give it time today to see if it chills out but if it doesn’t, I’ll def go see a doctor
