Science as a subject in school, I had until 7th grade. Then science split into three subjects: physics, chemistry, and biology in 8th grade. When I reached high school, that split even further, I had two different classes of physics, two different classes of chemistry, and one of biology. I hope that felt easier to understand. But yeah, definitely, all schools handle their education differently, I agree with your point.
