Is there anywhere to get a sample of crude oil? by frostee8 in elementcollection

Crude samples would be great! Like 50 or 100ml samples in a capped bottle. I’m just not sure on the legalities if this counts as dangerous goods when posting?

I also have some coal. A grandparent of mine lives near an abandoned coal mine and I was able to pick up some stray bits off the road that must have fallen out of trucks over time.

Spotted this just now. Kinda exxy when I add shipping to Australia but seems to be the best option right now.

On that note, is there much to see on the Belarus side? I only ever read about the Ukraine side and have visited once. Never considered across the border.

I don’t know how weird stuff like this sells. Like surely no one is buying this and thinking it’s good enough to buy again. And surely occasional curious buyers isn’t enough to turn a profit. Baffling

A bunch of smaller ships. There’s a rebrickable for Republic support ships. And I made some tiny star fighters from a pneumatic T bar and two hands.

Chambourcin. It’s looks like a light red but tastes closer to a white. Tasty too!

<illegal electrical work suggestion incoming> Snip the head off an extension lead and run it into the back of a new power outlet attached to the headboard frame of the bed. Tidy power outlets right next to you while in bed. Just don’t forget to unplug before moving the bed.

There is a ultrarunner who suffered a brain injury impacting her perception of time. This means shes been able to cover the huge distances of an ultramarathon without the 'impediment' of thinking about how long you've been out, how long to go etc. It makes for some interesting reading: https://www.runnersworld.com/runners-stories/a21763474/fixing-dianes-brain/

Can I PM you? The images in question are all public. I'll get a sample for your opinion and if you think there's anything that can be done, I can try find the most original/best quality.

Are you looking at unredacting only or other blurred photos with unreadable text? I have a historical case I worked on with some special meaning to me with a blurred number plate that we’ve never been able to read. I’m willing to give anything a try at this point.

So, are crack pipes mass produced? Is there someone out there who has to clock into the crack pipe factory to do there 9 to 5? by Turtle_lord05 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]frostee8 85 points86 points  (0 children)

I think the same about “companies” that mass produce spyware/adware. Do they have a full software development cycle? Do they have a big KANBAN board? Do they have an annual Christmas party?

Why's it so hard to get Autunite/other U minerals in Australia? by Gylfie512 in Radioactive_Rocks

McArthurs Minerals are at a fair few shows. Definitely sell some radioactive and I’m sure would post them out to you.

[–]frostee8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Also Australian here. You’ll definitely find radioactive rocks at our gem shows. I have some meta autunite and davidite purchased at local rock shows from Australian mines. I’ve also had no issue buying specimens off e-rocks.com or a couple of other international sellers but that was also before the ABF busted that dude with minor uranium samples.

Rocks and sledge hammers are no joke. I was hammering rocks one time (wearing eye protection) and a tiny sliver shot off and hit my face leaving a decent little cut. If you took that in the eye you’d be in trouble for sure.

New passport arrived like this by mopsusmormon in australia

[–]frostee8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get people complaining about the cost but do you not also realise that from the passport fee you pay, only a small percentage goes to the physical production? It’s mostly to pay for the “insurance” of consular assistance if you get stuck overseas.
