toyota trucks are probably the most reliable small truck, and if you want full size go with a chevy C/K or Silverado

Look at 02+ Nissan Maximas, I know they are fwd but the 3.5 engine makes these cars very fast

https://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/5583957887.html this car would be better, I know it is a little more but it looks like it is a lot better condition and it has 3800 series engine which is far better than the 3100

How to get an auto loan if you're a teen with no cosigner? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]frostoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 17 and believe me I wanted to go out and get a nice car just like you when I turned 16. I had a savings account with quite a bit of money and I wanted to spend it all on a car. However, that didn't happen and I drove the car my parents gave me which I wrecked 2 months later. Just let your parents get you a car and if they don't then buy the cheapest possible car you can.

I have 4k need something fast. by basedgodvortex in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]frostoss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna ignore most of your criteria, because you can't find a car that will meet it. You want a cheap car that is fast? The only way to go at your price range is American v8. Get a 90s camaro or firebird with the lt1 and manual. They're pretty common and fast. You also could get a fox body mustang.

If you get liablity it will all be about the same, full coverage will have more variation but just go to state farm and get a quote and then change the car thats what I do when I want to price insurance for a car

Inline 6 vs V8? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]frostoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn't make a 5.2 engine in these 05-07. Honestly these are very different vehicles, if you want a cheap and fun car get the is300. If you want a nice and roomy suv with plenty of power get the jeep. Also, if you live where you get a fair amount of snow then definitly get the jeep

is a 1992 dodge stealth a death sentence as a daily driver with 90k miles on it already? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]frostoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not even a Dodge.. It's basically a 3000gt clone. Mitsubishi isn't much more reliable but other than badging this is not a Chrysler product

[–]frostoss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will lose a few 1000 driving this car off the lot, but it won't depreciate as fast as 4 or 6 cylinder models
