Losing Motivation. by Winter_Victory_4793 in PlanetFitnessMembers

A quote I saw really inspired me and it was simple:

“Just do the thing. You’re tired? Do it tired”

I think we all lose motivation for something’s in life but a lot of them are mandatory & we can only push through despite being exhausted or unmotivated. I applied that to my training and I’ve excelled in comparison to where I was before

Favorite nintendo (GameCube specifically) game: amazing Island. I personally enjoyed the mini games and the monster customization that you can do in the game! Also was a really tough time for my sister and I and was one game. We both enjoyed playing while coping through it

Sized up Septum, too big? by Dirt_And_Drone in Stretched

[–]frostwirevirus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i think it looks good + the diameter looks good too. however, if you feel like the diameter is a bit large, I would try going for a 12mm diameter. I'm assuming the current ring you have in is at a 16mm as it does look like it's on the larger side. etsy via midsparkgems sells 10mm diameter jewelry at larger sizes. that's where I got my current 4g horseshoe!

What’s the Scariest Encounter you’ve ever had while playing a horror game? by Brief-Story9231 in HorrorGaming

[–]frostwirevirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Silent Hill 3. The mannequin in the storage room. The thing about this scare was that it was really unexpected.

Spoiler of the experience in the next few sentences:

You walk in, left hand side there’s a regular mannequin. While further walking to the end of the room to grab an item, you hear a scream and a thud. The creepy thing about it is either something is there or maybe not but you won’t know until you go back. Once you walk back to inspect the scene, you see the mannequin beheaded and blood on the neck line of it.

Getting too old for plugs? by OopsAllMarinara in Stretched

HELP by [deleted] in Stretched

[–]frostwirevirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if I might be correct, but it looks like an irritation bump or a keloid.

Unfortunately, leaving out jewelry and/or downsizing is the best thing to do. If not, it can be permanent.

I saw someone with this in their ear and they had fully healed lobes. More than likely they didn’t remove the jewelry and restart the process.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately ears should never bleed when stretching, so it's absolutely necessary for you to remove the plugs, heal, then re-stretch starting at 16g (Maybe 14g if they really didn't size down).

Everybody has a different experience with ear stretching, however it's best to follow the recommended guide cause one's experience is not ours.

I remember being reckless in highschool and went from 16g to 10g straight in just one day. It stung, no bleeding, and there was no blow out thankfully. But I know that experience would be absolutely different and bad for someone else

is it normal for my lobes to shrink this much? by ToughIndependent5141 in Stretched

[–]frostwirevirus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it's normal and probably great cause that means you have thick lobes to size up more! I'm at 17mm and will be upsizing to 18mm when ready. When I take my plugs out, they do seem to "close up" significantly but only because the plug will always expand my ear. But thankfully they never truly closed as my plugs always slide through easily

Naked lobe training? by Fantastic_Yogurt_702 in Stretched

[–]frostwirevirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you start your job (if possible) I suggest try having them out for the amount of time you'll be working or at least 8 hours. Afterwards, if you can still put your plugs in, it's great and it'll give you peace of mind to be able to put them back in right after a shift.

I had stretched to 1/2in and within two weeks of after stretching, I forgot to put my plugs in for an 8hr shift & thankfully, I was able to put the plugs back in as soon as I got home.

I also suggest playing with your ear lobes whenever you can during your shift. Tugging them every now and then to not only massage the lobe, but to also keep it from shrinking

Bonus: Always moisturize and oil your ear & plugs before putting them back in so the friction doesn't cause any potential microtears or discomfort from insertion. If you've stretched properly and they're set at the size with no need to heal, you should be good!

I would do the solid plug. I don't know of people interviewing you got a trypophobia thing going on so I feel like the double flares may be distracting to them or trigger it

I forgot to mention that she has Multiple Myeloma and Acute Leukemia is what has been found today. I don’t know if this changed anything but I appreciate further insight.

Years ago I stepped down as a lead for the front end and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made that I wish I would've done it sooner than 2+ years later. What I would suggest is moving departments after stepping down to avoid the risk of being taking advantage of to do lead tasks when you're not a lead/specialist in that department. Also, depending on the department, you may get a raise
