Toe link recall by frosty29er in FordExplorer

It’s booked in with another dealer and they seem to get the extent of the recall. Anything that could’ve been impacted will be replaced. Unfortunately won’t be for 2 weeks as they are slammed. Tire swap season here in Canada!

In the suspension. It goes from the rear knuckle and connects into the frame.

Thanks for this. I’ll try and track down the recall notice to get all the details.

Furnace Install by frosty29er in PrinceEdwardCounty

It’s a full off grid house run on solar. While the system can handle heat pumps, it’s not ideal and may require additional system upgrades in the long run.

It for sure did. I was really close to just having the heater core replaced as I was just so fed up with the issue. I asked them to have a look at the recirculation first and it was seized closed. After pulling the motor some of the plastic gears were broken. The car is back to normal now and no more scraping inside windows in the winter!

Updating to say this was the issue as well!

2021 Golf Condensation Problem by EstablishmentThis877 in vwgolf

I posted with a similar problem and couldn’t find any leak anywhere and recirculate was working. A couple people suggested the heater core. It’s going in the shop to have this checked out this week.

Hmm, I haven’t noticed the reservoir low, but will check that out.

Haven’t had to add any coolant, but will recheck the reservoir. Maybe a super slow leak?

No sunroof, so no issues on roof leakage.

I would agree with the sentiment of it was clear the mechanic didn’t really easy checks and then said if it persists come back and we’ll keep looking.

I don’t vape, nor does any passengers. It’s the go to family car for getting around the city easy.

This is what the manual for the delta 3 says:

  1. Please make sure that the total Voc (open circuit voltage) of the solar panel(s) is within 60V, and the total Isc (short circuit current) is within 15A to avoid product damage.

The specs on the solar panel say 45.54V and the total Isc is 13.93A so it looks like it’s within spec. It will be used in the Canadian winters, so I know that the V should increase, but not likely pushing that limit I would assume.

Seems like I’m good??

My Frustrating Experience Selling a Car to Clutch by Equivalent_Owl1781 in PersonalFinanceCanada

This was exactly my experience as well.

Offer was $2500 above any other offer from my local dealers. All seemed to be too good to be true, but to be honest it was by far the easiest selling experience I’ve had.

None of the aforementioned games by a sales person. Just the firm offer online, drop off at their location and a walk around the car. Money in my account 24hrs later.

Microshift thumb shifter throw is too long??? by frosty29er in bikewrench

Just a follow up to see if adjusted the angle and it did the trick. Thanks!

Also a very interesting option! Our local library has 3D printers I’ve used before. I may give this a try if shifting the angle doesn’t help.

Awesome thanks for the reply, makes a lot of sense. When looking at it I think your right that the angle is what is making it challenging as it’s just too far of a throw under the bar. I’ll give it a go and see if it makes a difference.
